Leave the Church! She’s Dangerous!

Click bookcover for ebook & title link below for softcover

An autobiographical non-fiction book, in “Come Out of Her, God’s People,”  I interpret my 3 decades of churchgoing primarily within the title’s context. The facts of what happened to me within a mainline denominational African-American church remain constant. However, my interpretation has changed over time.  For the first 25 years, I believed that God sent me  to the Denomination to be an integral part of bringing repentance to that particular bureaucracy.  In this hour, I  believe that a counterfeit religious entity  sent me to church in 1979, in hopes that through much trial and testing, I would lose my salvation and curse God for allowing me to be  both rejected, spiritually abused and   deceived.  The devil  failed miserably.

My own ministerial life is merely presented in the book  as a tiny iota of a huge puzzle—a microcosmic illustration of  a much broader, worldwide, endemic problem that really began in the 4th century, once Christianity became “organized”.  The book is less about me and much more  about the words of Jesus, as recorded in Revelation the 18th Chapter, verse 4:  “Come out of Her, My People, that you be not partakers of Her sins,  lest ye receive of Her plagues.” In the final analysis, the truth of this book is based upon whether or not I have rightly interpreted who the Lord is referring to as “Her.”

Some Christians have interpreted the metaphorical pronoun of  Revelation Chapter 18  as a nation, with America as the prime candidate.  In fact, I know of American eschatologists who are now ex-patriots, having re-located to Canada.  On September 11, 2001, I too made a wrong assumption, as I watched on TV the destruction of the World Trade Center. With the fall of both towers in an hour, my bible was opened to Rev.18,  verses 8 to  10, specifically “for in ONE HOUR is thy judgment come.” So I  first interpreted the feminine pronoun as symbolizing New York City.  I told quite a few of my friends to “come out of Her,” and move to either upstate NY or another state.

So I know firsthand that it is a lot easier to make a wrong interpretation of a symbol than it is to make a correct one.  In my case, as time unfolded over the  next  9 years, especially  with the publication of  my 4th book, “the Fake Jesus: Fallen Angels Among Us,” I began to have some serious doubts about my original interpretation that “Her” was a geographic location like a city or a nation.

My spiritual awakening was both  gradual and sudden simultaneously. Gradual, in that for 25 years, I knew there was a reason why “church was not working,” but I rationalized that “anything that humans are involved in will be imperfect, and that includes the church.” Yet suddenly,  the truth hit me like a bright light in the face of a deer. I was in shock.  Then I shook. With the final tremble,  I quickly regained my  spiritual equilibrium. I have put decades of delusion and deception behind me, and I continue to press on to deeper levels of truth which I share herein.

The interpretation of biblical metaphors and other symbols is certainly not an exact science.  It is so easy to wrongfully assume that the literal is meant to be  symbolic and in reverse, that the allegorical should be  taken literally.  Quite frankly, it hit me  real hard that the “Her” could be  the entire organized church–not Catholicism alone–but the entire thing.  Protestants are quick to point their fingers at the  religious idolatry of Catholics, presenting ALL of  itself as the one true church. Yet, let’s face it.    Catholicism is the tree and  its fruit is Protestantism including  all of its  various branches and sects. The bible confirms that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.  For as Jesus Himself taught, if the tree is corrupt or evil, so is its fruit. (Matthew 7:18,19)

With each chapter of the ebook “Come Out of Her God’s People”, I am  metaphorically  standing outside of a burning church building shouting, “Come out! It is on fire!”  Therefore, those with an open, rational mind will at least perceive  how I arrived at  the conclusion that attending church in the endtimes is a dangerous thing to do.  Certainly, if we are not living in the last days, perhaps today’s churchgoers are safe.  Nevertheless, when you finish this book, I will be satisfied if at the least you have asked yourself do I really want to take that chance?!!!!!”

Fallen Angels and Near Death Experiences: THE WALK-INS

By Minister Doris Partin

A “walk in” is actually a fallen angel who is said to enter the body of someone who went through a near-death experience and was still alive when the demon moved their spirit aside and “took over” both the body and the soul during or after resuscitation. In other words, as the spirit of an accident victim or of a terminally sick person loses the will to live on an operating table and begins to vacate the body, the demon steps in and takes over the dying just moments before their appointment with death. If this is true, with all of the “near death experiences” that have been reported in our lifetime who have been resuscitated, the foundation of a global build-up of true demon possession is already laid. In fact, it is not surprising that literally every “near death survivor” has “come back to life” preaching the false doctrine of universal love and universal religion with no mention of sin, repentance and the cross of Calvary.

An Excerpt from “the fake Jesus: Fallen Angels Among Us.”(soft cover)

Consequently, Satan can manipulate earth events with ‘hands-on’ experience through the embodiment of some of his demonic troops. This would also fit the description, in the Book of Revelation (e.g., Rev.9:1-12), of the demon infested conditions on earth prior to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ at the end of the Age — not to mention those in the time of Noah (Gen.6:1-6; cf. Mt.24:37).The concept of “walk ins” may also be connected to dissociative identity disorder (DID) and other mental health conditions where a very fearful, traumatic event has caused a person to “flee out of body” in order to cope with horrendous circumstances. The flight of the human spirit in moments of great and sudden terror and fear may very well provide yet another doorway for the embodiment of a discarnate demon. Rape, horrendous accidents, brutalities, torture, horrors of war, to name a few.

So what happens to the spirit of the one who has lost the will to live at his or her death-bed once the “walk-in” WALKED IN???? Pastor Pam’s occult experience as a former psychic medium may provide a clue. Before the Holy Spirit rescued her and led her to the cross, she experienced a supernatural phenomena a handful of times in the early 70′s that can only be understood through our recent research on the so-called “embodiment” of fallen concerning the “walk-ins.” Described in  three of her  6 books, the best description is in “Recovery In Christ”

“I did not think a thought or take an action without consulting my spirit guides. As time passed, the style of their communication went from Ouija Board, to spiritual writing with a pen or pencil,(channelling), to their coming into my body for about 5 minutes and speaking through my mouth by taking complete control over my larynx.”I remember the first time that I was “taken over” or possessed by them. I did not go into a trance. I was fully conscious, but also totally out of control. One day, after an exhaustive session of spiritual writing, I began to feel dizzy and a little weak. There was a tugging feeling in my throat. Suddenly, my spirit vacated my body and stood on the opposite side of the room, listening to a conversation that others were having about me. As I stood outside of myself, I can remember thinking, “what in the world is going on here! Let me back into my body.” (pg. 26)

So since the captive to a “walk-in” has not actually died, his or her spirit is lingering on the outside. Weakened for a particular length of time, due to passivity brought about by a death wish, the captive can only return to his or her body when released by “the walk in.” Given an awareness of supernatural evil, whether or not we accept the ‘Walk-Ins’ theory — it is evident that extraordinary signs are taking place. If the rulers of the darkness of this world are now appearing in a physical body, it would appear to give credence to the fact that the aims of the Ascended Masters are being implemented on the earth today. The goal? A Universal Church that denies the cross, desensitizes sin and the need of the Savior, preaches selfhood and “breakthrough” , and a universal world order as it lifts up what the occultists refer to as “the Christ Consciousness”— a bunch of mumbo jumbo.

So as in the days of Noah, spiritual wickedness in the heavenlies has come to earth. Who knows if we may not already be entertaining “fallen” , unaware. So be ye also ready not to be deceived when folk come to you with “come see Jesus in the flesh over here or come see an angel in the flesh over there.”We hope that this article is a wake up call to the elect because there are numerous signs to suggest that the ascended masters have been secretly working within the organized church since around 1830. The groundbreaking book, the Fake Jesus  (ebook link)  traces how it all began in order to assess where we stand today.

Witchcraft Spells Among Professing Christians

Witchcraft…

Witchcraft Spells and you is the focus of this article. What do witchcraft spells have to do with a believer? Witchcraft spells and witchcraft magic uses spoken words, chants, declarations, incantations and other demonic devices as a means of control. Witchcraft is used by those who seek to control you. Are there witches in the church? Are their unsaved people in the church? The answer to both of these questions is yes. That’s right! Your own pastor could be a witch.

Witchcraft spells and all its evil renderings is about power, control and domination. Witches seek to control you by any evil means necessary. Witchcraft is all about manipulation and control. Witchcraft denies the power of Jehovah God, and those who practice it are in league with demons. Witch- craft comes from the kingdom of darkness. There is no such thing as a good witch, just as there is no such thing as a good, harmless devil.

Witchcraft Spellcasting and its Evil Devices have been Recorded in the Word of God…

A Christian must believe in witches, because God warns us about them in His word. In the Book of Micah, chapter three, God passes grave judgment on witches. What does God say? Jehovah God will cut off witchcrafts totally. Witches and soothsayers will perish.

As you can see, witches and their demonic spell castings, were under the wrath of God. Your church is not exempt from having members that practice witchcraft. How could your church be exempt from witchcraft controls, when Jesus said let wheat and  tares grow together? King Saul consulted the witch of Endor, requesting that she call up the spirit of Samuel. This incident is recorded in 1 Samuel 28:7.

Be Advised… Beware…And Be Vigilant…

You know, fact beyond doubt, that witchcraft spells can hold you in bondage if you are not truly saved. If your salvation is not built on the rock, a witch can afflict and run a train wreck through your life. Be advised and beware, witches are a reality in church or out. Witches will use any evil means necessary to afflict, control, and harass you into letting go of your faith.

The devil stalks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. If there were no such thing as witches in church, why would apostle Paul tell us to be sober and vigilant against the wiles of the devil? The devil stalks about looking for converts. In fact, Satan and his demons make themselves at home in the church. Evil spirits thrive in an atmosphere of sin. One look at the Catholic church, and it’s abominable molesting priests proves my point. One look at the ever-growing list of churches evading the IRS proves my point yet again.

What do You Think?

Are you convinced that there are no witches in the church? Do you find it hard to believe that witches sit in the pews and pulpits of churches? Are you positive that you need not worry about witchcraft spells? I’m here to tell you that witches sit in church, and practice witchcraft spell casting. Some of them are under such strong delusion,  they believe they are saved.

I Know of more than one  Witch who Where Members of a Church… If you are sober, vigilant and put on the full armor of God, your eyes will open.

Spiiritual Covering Is a Lie From the Devil!

By Ola Cruz

Spiritual covering! Have you heard about it? Do you need it ?  What is spiritual covering? Are you one of those who were sent…or are you one of those who just went, minus a spiritual covering? Whose your spiritual daddy? Whose your spiritual Mama? What about an apostolic covering, do you have one of those? Please don’t answer, because there’s no such thing as a spiritual covering.

Spiritual Covering Fallacy

Charismatic churches, and churches in general, seemed to have latched on to yet another fallacy, yet another  unscriptural doctrine of demons. The laying on of hands is not something to be toyed with. Didn’t the apostle Paul say we are to touch no man suddenly? So why is the organized church, scampering about, in a hurry to lay hands on those they say they are about to launch into ministry? Why would a spiritual Papa or a spiritual Mama need to lauch you out to tell people about Jesus? Jesus said to spread the Gospel to the nations. Jesus never said we were to wait on a spiritual father or mother for permission.

Since when do we need a permission slip to share our testimony, or share the Gospel? The notion that ones needs a spiritual covering, sounds like demonic controls to me. Sounds like manipulations akin to witchcraft to me. What about you? So then the Gospel that calls us by our faith, to share the message of Christ has been twisted yet again.

All of a sudden, you have to wait for approval, for something Christ already said we should do. You better not go, unless you were sent. Sent by who? Sent by someone who wishes you to submit to them, rather than submit to God. The spiritual cove

ring doctrine is responsible for a myriad of criminal behaviors in church. Wasn’t it a spiritual Daddy who was accused of some heineous acts? Do you know the story? Even if you don’t, our father is God.

We don’t want to go the other extreme into lone rangerhood either. We don’t want to be off in a corner by ourselves, refusing authority and teachings which are God sent. Spiritual coverings are unscriptural, but so is being a lone ranger  who refuses correction. Were their any lone disciples in the New Testament? Did God ever say that a time would come when disciples would stand alone to be taught, solely by him?
Some people, are sure that the organized church is the ” Her” spoken of in Revelations 18:4. Some people agree with the Sheppard’s Publishing stance. Sheppard’s Publishing views the organized church as the harlot we must all exodus from. Unfortunately, those who agree, agree only to a point. They  fall into error, by believing that God will now speak directly to them. The lone ranger pastor has lost his way, and is headed for deep deception.
I am in an independent ministry yet t I am guided, supported  and taught by Pam Sheppard ministries.  I submit to this ministry in love because a relationship of trust has been established.  No one tries to “rule” over me, nor am I required to give tithes and offerings to be a disciple. I have the power to question PSM in doctrine and in practice. Yes,  I am free to come and go as the Lord leads ME without anyone’s “permission”, knowing that Pam Sheppard Ministries has  my back. Pam Sheppard, an ordained minister for 30 years— treats her ministerial associates as equals, regardless of age, spiritual maturity or background.  No authoritarian abuse with her. I provide accountability without being asked or required.
A back-up of love is a precious pearl in the Body of Christ.. An affiliation with Pam Sheppard Ministries has broken my bondage  of trying to serve the Lord under abusive authoritarian leaders. If the Lord has called you to a ministry outside of church walls, you will not be able to find a more understanding yet powerful ministry for this season. The Fallacy of Apostolic Teaching

The Apostolic doctrine teaches that Christ can’t return to earth until Christians form a militant army which will be led by “ Super Apostles”. These super apostles and prophets are supposedly going to physically subdue the earth and set up God’s kingdom within the earth’s government. Bishop Bill Hamon and Peter Wagner have concocted these hair- brained apostolic doctrinal errors and teachings of devils. Those who push this apostolic doctrine believe that God’s end-time army will arise, subdue the earth, bring on natural disasters with their super powers, and correct church government. They claim to have authority over pastors and churches and want to be recognized as such.

Everything they teach is unscriptural and pompous. Their pride has them believing that Christ needs them to assist Him in returning to earth. Their pride has them believing that God needs help. As far as I can see, what they are really teaching undermines and diminishes the power of God. In fact, they believe God is powerless without their input. If God is powerless without the input of these super apostles, then the super apostles must be God. What do you say?

If you are part of this apostolic doctrine, you’ve been duped and hoodwinked into placing yourself  ABOVE GOD. The apostolic doctrine is yet another doctrine of the damned. Get out while you can!

I write this article with sorrow. Yesterday, I asked Pam Sheppard about the apostolic doctrine and what it entailed. I see a lot of Facebook folk tooting the apostolic horn and placing the word ” apostle ” in front of their name. Pam gave me two names to research which were Bishop Bill Hamon and Peter Wagner. My friends, I was almost sorry I asked. As far as Pam Sheppard’s Ministries is concerned, God is finished with the organized church, and all Pam’s ministers have ” come out from among them”. Why was I sorry I asked Pam about the apostolic doctrine? I was sorry I asked because as I began to research this damnable apostolic doctrine, I felt like I had entered the devils” doctrinal error twilight zone ” of top-level heresy.

I wouldn’t even advise you to enter that zone and do your own research on the apostolic doctrine. Take it from me, the book you should read is The New Idolatry by Pamela Sheppard. I used to be like you. You may feel fed up with church and you don’t want to give anybody a chance to fool you again. Well, dear reader, the devil is crafty. Take that chance and read the book! I could stop here and give you a 100 point list of why I believe Pam Sheppard IS THE LORD’S END -TIME SHEPHERD But I won’t. You need to check the spirit for yourself. I really would like you to be sure for yourself . Be prepared for the undiluted truth of the Gospel! Go here for your very own copy:

Apostolic Teaching Is FALSE!

Is the Holy Spirit in the Organized Church System?

The salvation of souls is the job of the Holy Spirit. So it stands to reason if souls are not being saved in chuch, then He must not be there. As a pastor within a well-known denomination for 25 questions, it never crossed my mind whether or not the Holy Spirit was actually there. The question was raised in my mind through my profession as a licensed counselor.

What I am consistently  finding in my counseling practice with Christians, is that churchgoers who are reporting that they are being tormented by demons DID NOT REALLY  GET SAVED WHEN THEY THOUGHT THAT THEY DID!!!!! Besides not understanding repentance in a fullness, I believe that what some professing Christians miss is that a resurrected body is the same body that died,—- the original body that has been made new or “renovated.” A glorified body is never subject to death again.Lazarus was raised from the dead in his “same” body but his body was not glorified because he would die again. Lazarus was not raised immortal.

Ola Cruz  was the first client that manifested this problem in 2002. I was her pastor from 1999 to 2002.   I was not her deliverance counselor as I had not yet conceived the term “deliverance counseling.”  In fact, Ola’s case is what caused me to conceive the term in the first place. For a year, I did not realize that Ola did not understand this concept. When people say “Jesus was raised from the dead,” those who don’t understand are just repeating a memorized phrase that they have accepted. But when you go deeper, those who have been made confused by word of faith teaching will say “Oh, Jesus had a glorified body which means he had a new body.” I ask them “Well what happened to the old body?” Some will say “it was buried, it decomposed, it floated away with his spirit, “I don’t know”or just “it disappeared in some supernatural way, like the work of a magician who pulls a rabbit out of a hat!”

The root of the problem is that they have misunderstood the scripture in Corinthians which says “it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body, and there is a spiritual body.” I cor 15:44. What they don’t understand is that a natural body is physical and a spiritual body is material as well. A natural body is subject to death. A spiritual body is not. A natural body when dead will decompose or be “corruptible.” A spiritual body is raised “incorruptible.” It will never decay. That is the difference between the two. So when I ask the key question, “was Jesus raised as a physical body or was He raised as a spirit, the response will be “He was raised as a spirit.” In spite of the fact that Jesus showed his original yet glorified body to Thomas and said to him “a spirit does not have flesh and bone as I have”, they STILL miss it. A crucial error that will determine where they abide in eternity. I didn’t write this.. Paul did. It is in I Cor 15:17: And if Christ is not risen, your faith is vain (futile) AND YOU ARE STILL IN YOUR SINS. To still be in your sins is to “not be saved or born again.” So if you don’t understand what resurrection means, then how can you believe that “Jesus was risen?” So the logical conclusion is that anyone who does not understand resurrection but came to the Jesus of their understanding IS NOT SAVED!

As both a servant of God and a professional Christian counselor, I really thought that when people said “He is risen,” that they understood what that meant. More than thirty years ago when I myself was unsaved, I understood resurrection because I had no concept at all of what a spirit was. I was all flesh: a two-part being of mind and body. So since I didn’t have an understanding of what the word “spirit” meant, I was never confused into thinking that “to be raised” meant to float away as a spirit. All I knew about resurrection was what I had seen in the movies or heard at Easter. I laughed at this. I said “Christians must think that people are stupid. It is very clear to me that when you are dead you are DEAD and there is no coming back to life.”

On the day that I got born again in my living room, faith to believe that Jesus came back to life in the same body that He died in at the cross literally burst through my mind and I was in a state of shock. After I repented for being a sinner, the resurrection flashed into my mind immediately. Once I went to church and became a minister, I didn’t think that what happened to me was supposed to happen to everyone that got saved, even after I read “confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT HE WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD! The Greek word for “heart” is “cardia.” Cardia means “the mind, the emotions, the thoughts and the feelings.” The spiritual heart is a part of the human soul. Once I explain the resurrection to MOST of my clients who have been confused, they become saved prior to dealing with the issues of being set free from demons. . For some, it is immediate, for others, it takes a while. In some cases, the religious spirit is so entrenched in the person, that it must be cast out first so that the person can believe in the resurrection. This was the case of Ola. Practically EVERYTHING that she did that was under the power of a religious demon–a familiar spirit, a spirit of divination: preach, praise the Lord, prophecy, speak in tongues, discern spirits and see into the spirit world, was entirely counterfeited by the religious demon that resides in her. Sometimes Ola  herself was like she was “not there.” This is why she had no recall what transpired during deliverance sessions. Since they were taped, she could not deny it once she listened to them.

When you trace their alleged conversion to Christ back to the original source by skillful asking questions during the plowing stage of counseling, the source of the problem is almost always uncovered. For example, when some of my clients came to Christ, they came for the wrong reasons under strange/demonic circumstances. Religious demons “specialize.” There are some who want to do religious things, just like the Pharisees and the Sadducees of Jesus day. Remember the words of the Lord to them?” He said “You will tithe even something as small as a mint. Yet you are like whitewashed tombs, clean on the outside but filled with dead men’s bones. Your are of your Father, the devil. Vipers. A viper is a snake, the snake representing counterfeit religion. Someone posed the following question to me in an email : if a person is operating off of only what they know and have been taught, won’t the Lord make an exception? Wouldn’t that be another “specific” example? In other words, if someone sincerely repents, loves the Lord, and accepts Him as their savior, and they die before they have been TAUGHT and DISCIPLED, wouldn’t the Lord take that into consideration? After all, HE KNOWS THE HEARTS OF MEN, and we don’t, RIGHT?”

This is the exact situation that each and every one of my clients have found themselves in. The Lord has made an exception in each of their cases. He has seen to it that they DO NOT DIE before they have been counseled. Teaching and discipling is a part of the counseling process. The Lord has taken each client’s plight into consideration, by first opening my eyes and instructing me on how to recognize the deception, and how to counsel, teach and disciple him or her. Some have fallen under the category of II Cor 4:3,4: For if our gospel be hid or veiled, it is hidden to those who are lost, whose minds the god of this world has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,  which is the image of God, should shine on them. So I will have to cast out the religious demon first, BEFORE the client can be saved.

If I look at this problem from carnal eyes, then I could get discouraged. I can only handle 30 clients at a time and it takes from 3 months to a year per client. I just don’t question God about what He is doing for these kinds of captives. I simply DO MY PART which seems so small that it appears non-existent when you consider how many professing Christians may have already been deceived. God  does His  part. For example, every one of my clients have had a dream that led them to me or they were surfing the web and found me. I don’t know how many others the Lord is using in like manner to these kinds of captives free. People seeking Christ through the ministry of those who are preaching “another gospel” and presenting “another Jesus” in churches of all kinds and with folk who stay home and watch TBN are becoming mentally, spiritually  and even physically bound. People are picking up religious demons at Pentecostal altars, where they have been “tarrying” or “chanting” to receive the Holy Ghost and to speak with other tongues. Some clients ended up with absolutely no control over their bodies. Those I couldn’t help refused to even consider that they were not saved. Once the Pentecostals got a grip on them and they”manifested” the speaking in a tongues, they became super spiritual. inch by inch, the demons took over. The demons spoke through several clients, using their bodies to do various things. .You can read more on this in my book “Faces of the Religious Demon.”  (e-book, click here.)

In a strange case of a client I call ” Carol.”  Carol  is unique because she is obedient, compliant, coherent and willing to do anything to be delivered, which was not the case with others. I see no real fault in her as I have seen in some of the others. She was simply watching TV, responded to a sinner’s prayer through a Mormon sponsored program, then began to feed off of the teachings of mega TV preachers and was guided to a mega church by a vision that was demonically inspired.  As it stands, I work with those that I can, and I plant a seed into those that I cannot help, and pray that the Lord will direct them to true Christian who will nurture and water that seed.

For those who refuse to hear, I let them fire me and I shake the dust from my feet and move on to the next captive.

The Top Five New Years Resolution for 2012: Define Priorities

In order to examine your priorities as a Christian, the first step is to make an assessment of your relationship to the world. Do you love the world?

Crucifixión

If after examination it turns out that your answer  is “yes,” then the love of the Father is not IN you.  In other words, you are not born again.  In  order to fully understand how to be crucified to the world, the terms need to be defined.

First of all, the world is not the earth.  The world is an invisible group of “systems” that the enemy of our souls is still the god of.  So in simple terms, if Jesus Christ of Nazareth is not Lord over a particular system, that system is a part of THE WORLD.  Put another way, if Christ is not the head of it, it is “the world.”  That includes people, places and things.  For example, if Christ is not the head of your family, then your family is “THE WORLD.”  If Christ is not the head of your school, then your school is “THE WORLD.” If Christ is not the head of your career, your sport, whatever, it is THE WORLD. If Christ is not the head of your church, SHE IS THE  ALL religious systems are a part of THE WORLD, if Jesus Christ of Nazareth is not the head of them.

Some have left the world, even the church world, but like Lot’s wife, the cross has not separated them from the longing that remains in their hearts for the world. So I warn everyone who has an ear to hear and an eye to see.  There is a religious world in our times  which is far more dangerous tha other systems that are obviously evil and a part of Satan’s domain. This religious world consists of professing Christians who deny the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ in more ways than one.

You see the cross symbolizes deliverance from this present evil age (Gal 1:4),—from the powers of darkness (Col 1:13)—from the devils and demons who rule the world under their leader, Satan–(Eph 6:12) and—-on the resurrection side of the cross—WE ARE TRANSLATED INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON OF GOD! When we plead the blood, we are telling the enemy that we are dead to his world, that he no longer has authority over us, that we walk in that same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

Yet–if we look back—Satan treats us as if we were “Lot’s wife.” The cross and the resurrection loses its victory in our lives.  If the world STILL has the power to attract us or to influence our spiritual walk, then we are not crucified.  If we are not crucified, then we are open and vulnerable to demonic attacks and the fate of Lot’s wife can be OUR fate.

We arrive on the resurrection side of the cross only AFTER we have been crucified to the world.  No crucifixion? No power to defeat the enemy. For we overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb! Pleading the blood is of no consequence to demons if the one who stands as a deliverer of captives is not crucified to the world.

Recovery In Christ is a spiritual growth book with a manual. To be crucified to the world is one of a major themes of the book.

Ministry In 2012

A fresco of a black Madonna and Jesus in Axum ...

Are we headed for  the last season of God’s timetable before the Lord’s soon return?  How do we preach in this season? I believe that the preaching of the gospel to the world has already been done. The truth is that many who call themselves “God’s people” have anchored their faith in the preaching of a distorted gospel. Today I received a phone call from a man living on the west coast who was calling about his 93-year-old Catholic mother, a recent stroke victim hospitalized on the east coast. The son requested if someone from my church would make a hospital visit, in order to “lead her to salvation.” The son proudly let me know that he is a pentecostal and that he doesn’t believe that his Catholic mother is saved. The mother has not lost her mental faculties, but the stroke has left her without speech. I said to the son, “I don’t lead anybody into salvation for I don’t have the power to save anyone, and salvation is according to election by the sovereign will of God. If your mother is called to salvation, then the Lord will find a way to save her. My concern is that your mother has heard and believes on “another gospel.” The son was so churched, that it never crossed his mind that perhaps he too was not saved. As for his sick and dying mother,  how does one to proceed?  Going to her hospital bed and informing this aged Catholic that she has been worshipping the fake Jesus and a demon called Mother Mary might actually send her over the edge.

I rest assured that if this mother is one of God’s elect, He will certainly save her. I have learned that one of the primary principles of ministry today is to be aware of your own limitations and not “rush in” on false faith. For two millennium, the word of God has been preached from one end of the world to the other since the Day of Pentecost. The gospel is a very simple message: Jesus coming out of heaven to earth, born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, died and was raised from the dead, was seen of many, ascended and, praise God, He is coming back. Therefore, part one of the Great Commission is practically accomplished. This is the gospel in a nutshell, a word that is published every Christmas and every Easter, in spite of Santa Claus and the Bunny.

I am a clear example of an atheist who had never heard the word preached from a pulpit or from a TV evangelist, never even-handed a tract nor had I ever opened a bible. If an atheist could be drawn to Jesus just based upon the word that was preached through the holidays of Christmas and Easter, ANYONE CAN BE!!! This is the reason why the enemy is taking a strong stand against keeping Jesus as the reason for both seasons. Unfortunately, it is not surprising that the church is in the pitiful condition that it is in today because of a gross neglect of part two of the Great Commission which is “go forth and cast out demons!” Therefore, I write to the faithful of the church at Philadelphia, and exhort you to remember the words of Paul to Timothy: “In the last days, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.” (I Timothy 4:1)

As the word of God has foreshadowed in various scriptures, seducing spirits are thriving in the organizational church today in the form of the religious demon. So beware, oh, precious ones! Beware of demons that will come in your midst and try to hide in your sheepfolds, whose mission is to bring down the true Body of Christ. To be successful, Satan must be very deceptive. In one of His parables, the Lord announced that in the midst of His planting wheat in His field, an enemy came along and planted imitation wheat called “tares” or weeds.

Consequently, the Lord declared that toward the end of the age, there would come a point in time when the imitation wheat and the true wheat would look identical. (Matthew 13:37-43) I believe that the objective of ministry during endtimes is connected to the Lord’s coming again. As John the Baptist preached repentance and “prepare ye the way of the Lord” to unveil His first coming, I believe that ministry in the endtimes is about preparing the people for the Lord’s second coming. So, how do we do that? I don’t think I can state any better what I have already written in “the New Idolatry.” I have found that the demonstration of power begins at the cross. The cross of Jesus Christ is the place where we must submit our human nature. Not just the bad but the good also.

The ones who demonstrate the most power are the ones who have suffered the most—the ones who have sinned the most—the ones who have been forgiven of the most. They tend to be most humble. However, people who have always had it good, been the most acceptable to the world, people pleasers who have adapted to a success model based upon the world’s standards—these are the people who are the most difficult to demonstrate God’s power. They are too filled up with their own power. Their own thoughts. Their own ways. Their own abilities. What I hope my testimony speaks to is that it is not just the bad things that must go to the cross. It is also the things that are considered good about ourselves that are the most dangerous. Like Paul, we’ve got to cry out, “I don’t get mixed up in nothin except Jesus Christ and Him crucified!” (pg 202) Once a Christian has been dealt with—broken by God at the cross—and has emerged a servant, then he or she is ready to participate in ministry.

I believe that in this hour, the primary work of service is to undeceive those who believe that “they already know.” Once those who have been deluded and confused have been enlightened by truth, a deliverance may still be necessary and so the casting out of demons is a very important ministry in these times. Actually, I perceive ministry today as giving out nuggets of truth. Sometimes the scope of what can be confronted with captives to deception is very limited. In my deliverance counseling practice as outlined in my third book,Faces of the Religious Demon,” I have found that the Lord is allowing some of His people to be tormented so that they can be shaken from the deep spiritual sleep in which they so proudly and boastfully rest. Unfortunately, the spiritual arrogance and pride of those who are seeking prominence and a name for themselves in Christiandom are in serious trouble because their spiritual arrogance and pride has become deeply entrenched in their hearts and minds.

So in 2012, I am prepared that scores of people shall refuse to hear God’s warnings coming from an author whom they may consider “a nobody.” Armed with this knowledge, I am no longer distressed or stressed when I am rejected by them. I realize that namedroppers and wannabees have to be broken because in their proud state, many are unable to humble themselves enough to even discern the signs of the times, as they think that they are going to build a personal Christian kingdom that they can pass on to their children and grandchildren as many notable mega preachers have already done. So other than for those who enter into counseling or mentoring with Pam Sheppard Ministries, my approach to ministry as an author is to focus on at least one nugget of truth, either by telephone or by email, by a book or a blog and then “move on” and let the Holy Ghost lead that person into the essentials of a deeper truth. For various reasons, I have found that the resistance to the truth by most captives is the result of their religious development overtime. Like a spider forms a web, religious demons on assignment have weaved an intricate, subliminal spiritual web—a longstanding strategy that has progressively hindered a captive’s ability to face this or her own Laodicean blindness “head on.”

So for me, ministry in 2012 is to drop a nugget of truth on the world-wide web,  “plant a truth seed” in 1000 words or less— and then leave the plowing, the weeding, the watering and even the harvesting up to God, and  keep on steppin. Sometimes you will find that the captive does not like the style or manner of the messenger even more than the content of the message. In such cases, when I find people who will not acknowledge my words because they do not like either my style or my tone, I strategically plan my exit. As they stubbornly cling to their own ideas of how they believe that God should teach them through the organized church where they have been a member of longstanding, I “cut to the chase.” I have learned to focus my energy and go right to the heart of the matter. I will certainly avoid throwing scripture back and forth as in a contest, but I will pointedly ask a few salient questions like, “If you are really saved, then why is the devil having his way with you? Why don’t you have any joy or peace in the Holy Ghost? Why are you not assured of your salvation? Why so much condemnation, shame and guilt” Are you confused? Is confusion of God or is it of the devil? Then I sit back, wait on a response, and refuse to take either a defensive or an offensive position. In other words, I present a nugget of truth, and I don’t stick around to see whether or not that nugget was received. I just “keep it movin.” Sometimes the Lord will let me know that “the seed got planted in good ground.” Sometimes, He does not. This is the key. Ministry is the Lord’s thing. Some plant, some water, but it is the Holy Ghost Who gives the increase.
