Jesus Does Not “Come Into Your Heart!!!”

Asking Jesus to Come Into Your Heart Produces a False ConversionBy Pam Sheppard

The Angel Over Your Church has been REMOVED because of the I ACCEPT JESUS practice.I coined the term “counterfeit births” because I have seen so many false conversions. My book, “The Religious Demon” provides profiles of about 75% of the cases. I’ve yet to write a second edition.  A lot more would be added. A significant part of the “I accept Jesus” practice is to ask Jesus to “come into my heart.”

Anyone who knows even a little about kundalini yoga and the 7 chakras are aware of the fact that every human being has 7 spiritual gateways or doorways in his body. Through entering a state of passivity, yoga, meditation, hypnosis, chanting, even speaking in tongues will create an altered state of consciousness (ASC) conducive enough to crack open the spiritual doorway, one by one. I would include falling slain in the spirit, holy laughter, speaking in tongues, the holy dance, shouting, running around the church, flopping one’s head back and forth, as additional practices that stir up the kundalini spirit and open the 7 doorways.

Chakras are actually doorways for Hindu gods who themselves are really principalities and powers. Each of these entities stand guard over each of the 7 portals: Over the crown is Shiva; the third eye is Hakini, the throat is Savashiva, the navel is Bahni, the sexual organs are Vishnu and Rakeeni, the anus is Brahma and the heart is Isha.

Since no where in the bible does it even suggest that we should “ask Jesus into our hearts,” the fallen angel Isha responds to the unsuspecting seekers “invitation” as a call to the fake Jesus Sananda who Isha serves. So Isha opens the doorway to the heart and religious demons are able to enter and take up residence.

How do I know this to be so?

Well, since 2002, I have been practicing deliverance counseling with professing Christians who had a false conversion by “asking Jesus to come into their hears.” Without exception, they were all demonized at various levels along a spectrum. Some simply cannot experience the godly sorrow of repentance, some just have no faith concerning the Lord’s resurrection, some are compulsive and legalistic without baring any genuine fruit for Christ, while much more debilitating captives are severely tormented with hearing condemning voices, materialized manifestations of demons, depersonalization, insomnia, frequent bouts of sleep paralysis, blasphemous thoughts, suicidal thoughts, demons using their bodies to speak and move objects, even spontaneous orgasms of demonic origin.

What do they ALL have in common? They either repeated a sinner’s prayer at the conclusion of a TV or radio program, from a printed tract, or they got up out of their seats and walked forward at the invitation and “accepted Jesus.” Most of these captives were tongue talkers but not all. Some of them came from the mainline denominational churches as well as from the word of faith, pentecostal-charismatics. Those who chanted “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” at a pentecostal altar are in the worst shape, also those who actively received hands laid on them in charismatic churches and by deliverance ministries. Those who sought deliverance from more than one ministry are usually in the worst shape.

What is the solution? As an invitation was made to Sananda by the person’s free will, the freewill of the person must be built up by first, a deprogramming of error, second, a reversal of passivity, third, the receiving of truth, and finally, a disavowal of the invitation and a rejection of Sananda. In most cases, the religious demons who entered into the heart gateway by the authority of Isha must be cast out.

Exposing False Conversions

I remember one time I dealt with a lady a few years ago. I was trying to help her because the Lord had shared with me that even though she believed she was saved, He shared with me that she was, in fact, not saved. I did not know how to approach her, at first, in that it is very difficult to go to someone and ask them to question their salvation.

When most people are challenged or asked ‘Are you really saved?’ They answer emphatically “YES!”

It is viewed almost as a slap in the face that you would even THINK to ask such a question!

That was the response of this lady. She became VERY offended at my question, at the very notion that I would even imply that she may not be saved.

So after a few interchanges with her, she stopped talking to me.

When I watched this video of Pamela explaining examining our salvation, I was reminded of the stiff-neckedness of this lady. Unfortunately, many people are like that lady.

Many get offended if someone was to question their salvation. I say, ‘If there is a doubt in your mind-or if you’re dealing with some oppression or even possession of any kind-then it then becomes necessary to EXAMINE YOUR SALVATION.

If you need help in sorting out the details of your salvation experience, if you have ANY doubt in your mind or spirit that you are saved, or if you’re dealing with demonic oppression or torment since attending your church or repeating the sinner’s prayer, please call (518) 477-5759 TODAY!

How To Discern a Real Born Again Christian

A primary way of recognizing spiritual fruit  among the people in your Christian world is to  get to know them by how they handle offenses and confrontation..

We know we are saved when we love the brethren!

The first fruit to look for is the fruit of love. The Apostle Paul wrote that we know each other in the Lord by how much a professing believer loves the brethren. Love is most demonstrated by truth and not by meaningless platitudes or words of comfort by people pleasing people. Jesus defined love as our faithfulness to keep His commandments. When we do, then we abide in His love. And his first commandment is to love the brethren.

In order to love the brethren, trying the spirits is a means of recognizing a child of God when you see one. This is a particularly challenging command in the church age of Laodicea— an age of rampant spiritual deception where the wheat and the tares are not only growing together in the world but also in the organized church and in various ministries. Counterfeit spiritual births have really muddied the waters where spiritual discernment of the truly saved is concerned.

There is an effective way to try the spirits to determine if a person is NOT saved. Simply ask them in casual conversation to share with you how they became born again. If there is no emphasis or even mention of sin, godly sorrow, repentance, the cleansing power of the cross, forgiveness, then the person simply had an ecstatic, mystical experience that did not emanate from the Holy Ghost’s ministry of conviction of sin. Do not be fooled if you are told about a miracle that took place if the evidence of repentance is not in the testimony of conversion. Recently I heard the testimony of someone who was instantly healed of a substance abuse addiction, with not even a desire for drugs in years, yet addiction is manifested in other areas of her life, ie. to food, gambling, and other obsessive/compulsive behaviors. In a few days, the lack of love for the brethren was clearly apparent.

Besides a Spirit-led repentance, there are other obvious ones who when you ask them to define what they mean when they say “Jesus was raised from the dead,” you will discover that they do not really understand the Lord’s bodily resurrection. Simply put, you can be assured that salvation did not occur for them. As Paul warned the Corinthians, anyone who does not comprehend this fundamental Christian truth, “their faith is vain and they are STILL in their sins.” (I Cor 15:17)

What I have discovered lately is that there are those among the brethren whose testimony seems to be completely in line with the scriptures concerning repentance and resurrection, yet they too are not saved. These imposters are extremely dangerous because like Judas Iscariot, they are completely delusional. Once discerned, they should be treated kindly yet held at a spiritual distance as with a long-handled spoon and of course, prayed for if you are so led. Those experienced at trying the spirits can discern them because the Lord will open your eyes “to really SEE them” for what they are. In such instances, you must be as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a dove. Like my Grammie used to say, “When your hand is in the lion’s mouth, EASE IT OUT!”

The way to discern spiritual counterfeits is rather simple for the Lord said “you will know them by their fruits.” The fruit most obvious as it relates to discerning the saved is that born again people will always have a special love for other Christians, even when we may disagree on spiritual subjects that do not hinder anyone’s salvation. .So if you really want to try the spirits, get brave enough to go to those who claim to be in Christ and tell them of your offense. If their reaction is belligerent, argumentative, with no care or concern that they have hurt your feelings, and you are assured that YOU are one of the elect of God, then there is your answer. That person is NOT saved regardless of how many bible scriptures they can quote. They are in disobedience to the word of God where loving the brethren is concerned.

I see this kind of thing operative on Facebook ALL of the time among people who claim to be “among the brethren.” Each so-called Christian puts out a post, in competition to others. If you are not a part of their clique, then they will not comment on anything that you post, unless they can criticize. For example, I posted an article on Eddie Long’s sexual abuse scandal and I got a bunch of “that’s in poor taste, Pamela”. Then everybody got quiet when one of their own posted the same article. They read everything I post, yet they refuse to comment or even press the “like” button. These are people who really have no love for ALL the brethren.

They are respectors of persons.

Rejection of the brethren is a major strategy of the devil, particularly when another alleged “child of God” is the messenger. I spent 25 years of my spiritual life around counterfeit believers who had no love in them. Yet, because they were so religious, it never really crossed my mind that they were not saved. Remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against devils and demons. Therefore, devils and demons are forced to use people as their messengers. Consequently, the enemy’s natural and spiritual emissaries are usually false brethren.

I have found that once my spiritual discernment has been exercised sufficiently to recognize good from evil, a counterfeit emissary cannot remain around me for very long. There are times when I am contacted by email by people who have either visited my website or read one of my books or articles who sense that we are on the same spiritual track. Yet as soon as a difference comes to the surface, they behave in unfriendly, unseemly and even disturbing ways. No one should have to agree with you on EVERYTHING for them to continue loving you. Christian love is manifested as tolerance and acceptance. Whether you left their home church or not, if they are true Christians, they ought to accept the fact that you love Christ and you are in obedience to Him, even though your path may be different from theirs.

So a lack of tolerance, flexibility and acceptance is a sign of a religious demon and or a counterfeit birth. True brethren may not approve of your doctrine or even your lifestyle but to them, acceptance and understanding is essential to Christian love. Rejection based upon doctrinal differences is of the devil. So keep this in mind. Since the religious demon assigned to you has an agenda centered on causing YOU to lose your salvation, he will use human vessels to bring you to a point of discouragement by any means necessary. Whatever causes you to feel hopeless and without God in the world, is not the same factors that can be effective against someone else. So this demon will use different strategies but the goal is the same. He will do whatever he is permitted to do by God in an effort to seduce you to hate God. Like Job’s wife, the enemy will find someone in your life to say by their actions and their message, “Curse God and DIE!” The enemy knows that if you curse God, he has YOU in HIS pocket!

Deceived Into Sin By A Religious Spirit

CAN A BORN AGAIN PERSON SIN?

According to the Apostle John in I John 3: 9, the answer to that question is “NO!” The scripture reads: “Whosoever is born of God doth not sin; for his seed remaineth in him; and he CANNOT sin, because he is born of God.” Yet, John also wrote in the first chapter of his epistle that “if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us of ALL unrighteousness.” (I John 1:7-9)

John certainly seems to be contradicting himself on this subject of whether or not a born again person CAN or is ABLE to sin, BUT HE IS NOT. In the first chapter, I believe that John is saying that if a person sins, but then says he has not sinned,—in other words, deceives himself by rationalizing his behavior—then the truth is not in him because he has grieved the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth. Once the sinning Christian comes to his senses, the thing for him to do is to confess it, and he or she will be both forgiven and cleansed. What Chapter 3 suggests is that since a born again believer CANNOT sin, the only way he CAN, IS TO DECEIVE HIMSELF!!!!

Of one thing I am sure. I am born again. Of another thing I am sure. In 34 years as a Christian, I have sinned. So I know full well that a born again person CAN sin. When I look on those occasions where I sinned, deception was key. The only way that I could sin was “to deceive myself.” In each case, I convinced myself that God was in accord with my behavior. Therefore, I was out of touch with my spirit, where the seed is. That “seed” is the Holy Ghost. I grieved and quenched the Holy Ghost and consequently, I had no conviction because I believed that I was right. It is not built into my personality to receive accusation and to convict myself, so the enemy rarely accuses me of anything because it does not work.

One of the ways to make sure that we overcome sin is to learn how to discern the difference between the rebuke of your own conscience as led by the Holy Ghost from the accusation of the religious demon that is assigned to you.

Click book cover for ebook, title link for paperback

I have a religious demon assigned to me. The day I preached my trial sermon, a picture was taken of me in the church, posing beside the piano. Standing to my left, you can see a huge head of a gargoyle, outlined in green. Anyone who desires to see that picture, let me know. So I have seen the religious fallen angel that is assigned to me. However, for years, I convinced myself that the evil looking entity in the photo was the church’s demon and that it was not in the picture because of me. No, it is assigned to me. I suspect that you have one assigned to you also. In the book “Faces of the Religious Demon,” the many facets of this clever entity is exposed, case by case.

Anyway, learning how to differentiate between the reprimand of the Holy Spirit and the accusation of the evil spirit assigned to us is a key factor in overcoming sin. Since there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, if accusation persists once a born again believer has repented, it is NOT the Holy Ghost. He never reproves further, once the sin is cleansed by the precious blood because you have forsaken it.

According to Watchman Nee in “the Spiritual Man,” born again persons commit fatal blunders when we think that because we are saved, our spirits can only be controlled by the Holy Ghost and not ALSO by the enemy. (pg 57) The Holy Ghost is a helper, not a controller. Once He is either quenched or grieved, He will “back off.” When He retreats, the enemy comes in full force with counterfeits of His presence. This is why so many true believers remain in sin for too long. Actually, the practice of the sin of spiritual fornication, aka idolatry—goes un-noticed, with the believer completely unaware of his or her spiritual condition.

In fact, I found it a lot easier to overcome physical fornication than spiritual fornication. I believe that every committed churchgoer is a spiritual fornicator.  My spiritual fornication endured and dominated most of my “born again” life for more than two decades. In this regard, I am certainly not alone. However, I am among the very few who have been un-deceived.

And why IS that?

Well, my self deception began to gradually fade away due to the book, “War on the Saints,” by Jessie Penn Lewis. I read it and “I saw my charismatic, religious self.” But it took time regarding my pet spiritual fallacies. I reasoned, “Jessie can’t be right about this or about that! Then one day, I caught the deceiver in a lie. My eyes started to open. So I prayed, “Lord, if there is any darkness around me, please expose it.” In days, all hell began to periodically break loose. Yet, with each un-veiling, I became increasingly “un-deceived,” as my spiritual house came tumbling down like a row of stacked dominoes.

When the Holy Ghost is unable to rebuke us in our spirits because of our self deception, the demons assigned to us begin to toss us about, to and fro. The enemy takes much pleasure in mocking God’s people. I can remember how I found myself mocked in every sphere, from finances to family, from friends to foe, from fallacy to faith, the demons assigned to me had themselves a good ole time! Yet once I asked the Lord to “show me the darkness,” I ended up putting the demons on the run!

I’ll end this article  with the first statement and the first step to becoming a believer who “cannot sin.”

STATEMENT #1 Born again believers CANNOT sin until we FIRST submit ourselves to self deception.

Step #1 Go to the Father and sincerely ask Him in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth:,

“Lord, if there is any darkness around me, please expose it.”

If you are sincere, get ready for a wake-up call that will knock your spiritual socks off!!!

The Resurrection and the Religious Spirit

What I am finding in my counseling practice with Christians, is that churchgoers who are reporting that they are being tormented by demons DID NOT REALLY GET SAVED WHEN THEY THOUGHT THAT THEY DID!!!!! Besides not understanding repentance in a fullness, I believe that what some professing Christians miss is that a resurrected body is the same body that died,—- the original body that has been made new or “renovated.” A glorified body is never subject to death again.

Lazarus was raised from the dead in his “same” body but his body was not glorified because he would die again. Lazarus was not raised immortal. Maria was the first client that manifested this problem. For a year, I did not realize that Maria did not understand this concept. When people say “Jesus was raised from the dead,” those who don’t understand are just repeating a memorized phrase that they have accepted. But when you go deeper, those who have been made confused by word of faith teaching will say “Oh, Jesus had a glorified body which means He had a new body.” I ask them “Well what happened to the old body?” Some will say “it was buried, it decomposed, it floated away with his spirit, “I don’t know”or just “it disappeared in some supernatural way, like the work of a magician who pulls a rabbit out of a hat!”

The root of the problem is that they have misunderstood the scripture in Corinthians which says “it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body, and there is a spiritual body.” I cor 15:44. What they don’t understand is that a natural body is physical and a spiritual body is material as well. A natural body is subject to death. A spiritual body is not. A natural body when dead will decompose or be “corruptible.” A spiritual body is raised “incorruptible.” It will never decay. That is the difference between the two.

So when I ask the key question, “was Jesus raised as a physical body or was He raised as a spirit, the response will be “He was raised as a spirit.” In spite of the fact that Jesus showed his original yet glorified body to Thomas and said to him “a spirit does not have flesh and bone as I have”, they STILL miss it. A crucial error that will determine where they abide in eternity.

I didn’t write this.. Paul did. It is in I Cor 15:17: And if Christ is not risen, your faith is vain (futile) AND YOU ARE STILL IN YOUR SINS. To still be in your sins is to “not be saved or born again.” So if you don’t understand what resurrection means, then how can you believe that “Jesus was risen?” So the logical conclusion is that anyone who does not understand resurrection but came to the Jesus of their understanding IS NOT SAVED!

As both a servant of God and a professional Christian counselor, I really thought that when people said “He is risen,” that they understood what that meant.

Thirty-four years ago when I myself was unsaved, I understood resurrection because I had no concept at all of what a spirit was. I was all flesh: a two-part being of mind and body. So since I didn’t have an understanding of what the word “spirit” meant, I was never confused into thinking that “to be raised” meant to float away as a spirit. All I knew about resurrection was what I had seen in the movies or heard at Easter. I laughed at this. I said “Christians must think that people are stupid. It is very clear to me that when you are dead you are DEAD and there is no coming back to life.”

On the day that I got born again in my living room, faith to believe that Jesus came back to life in the same body that He died in at the cross literally burst through my mind and I was in a state of shock. After I repented for being a sinner, the resurrection flashed into my mind immediately. Once I went to church and became a minister, I didn’t think that what happened to me was supposed to happen to everyone that got saved, even after I read “confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT HE WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD! The Greek word for “heart” is “cardia.” Cardia means “the mind, the emotions, the thoughts and the feelings.” The spiritual heart is a part of the human soul.

Once I explain the resurrection to MOST of my clients who have been confused, none become saved prior to dealing with the issues of being set free from demons. In some cases, the religious demon is so entrenched in the person, that it must be cast out first so that the person can believe in the resurrection. When you trace their alleged conversion to Christ back to the original source by skillful asking questions during the plowing stage of counseling, the source of the problem is almost always uncovered. For example, when some of my clients came to Christ, they came for the wrong reasons under strange/demonic circumstances. Religious demons “specialize.” There are some who want to do religious things, just like the Pharisees and the Sadducees of Jesus day.Remember the words of the Lord to them?” He said “You will tithe even something as small as a mint. Yet you are like whitewashed tombs, clean on the outside but filled with dead men’s bones. Your are of your Father, the devil. Vipers. A viper is a snake, the snake representing counterfeit religion.

Someone posed the following question to me in an email : if a person is operating off of only what they know and have been taught, won’t the Lord make an exception? Wouldn’t that be another “specific” example? In other words, if someone sincerely repents, loves the Lord, and accepts Him as their Savior, and they die before they have been TAUGHT and DISCIPLED, wouldn’t the Lord take that into consideration? Afterall, HE KNOWS THE HEARTS OF MEN, and we don’t, RIGHT?”

This is the exact situation that each and every one of my clients have found themselves in. The Lord has made an exception in each of their cases. He has seen to it that they DO NOT DIE before they have been un-deceived through counseling. Teaching and discipling is a part of the counseling process. The Lord has taken each client’s plight into consideration, by first opening my eyes and instructing me on how to recognize the deception, and how to counsel, teach and disciple him or her. Some have fallen under the category of II Cor 4:3,4: For if our gospel be hid or veiled, it is hid to those who are lost, whose minds the god of this world has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, which is the image of God, should shine on them. So I will have to cast out the religious demon first, BEFORE the client can be saved.

If I look at this problem from carnal eyes, then I could get discouraged. I can only handle 30 clients at a time and it takes from 3 months to a year per client. So I continue to train other ministers “to do what I do.”  I just don’t question God about what He is doing for these kinds of captives. I simply DO MY PART which seems so small that it appears non-existent when you consider how many professing Christians may have already been deceived. God does His part. For example, every one of my clients have had a dream that led them to me or they were surfing the web and found me.

People seeking Christ through the ministry of those who are preaching “another gospel” and presenting “another Jesus” in churches of all kinds and with folk who stay home and watch TBN are becoming mentally, spiritually and even physically bound. People are picking up religious demons at pentecostal altars, where they have been “tarrying” or “chanting” to receive the Holy Ghost and to speak with other tongues. Some clients ended up with absolutely no control over their bodies. Those I couldn’t help refused to even consider that they were not saved. Once the Pentecostals got a grip on them and they “manifested” the speaking in a tongues, they became super spiritual. Inch by inch, the demons took over. The demons spoke through several clients, using their bodies to do various things. .You can read more on this in my book “Faces of the Religious Demon.”

In a strange case of a client I call “Carol.” Carol is unique because she is obedient, compliant, coherent and willing to do anything to be delivered, which was not the case with others. I see no real fault in her as I have seen in some of the others. She was simply watching TV, responded to a sinner’s prayer through a Mormon sponsored program, then began to feed off of the teachings of mega TV preachers and was guided to a mega church by a vision that was demonically inspired.

As it stands, I work with those that I can, and I plant a seed into those that I cannot help, and pray that the Lord will direct them to true, informed Christians who will nurture and water that seed. For those who refuse to hear, I let them fire me and I shake the dust from my feet and move on to the next captive.

What Is a Born Again Christian? Salvation 101

WHAT IS A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN? An Excerpt from RECOVERY IN CHRIST

There is much confusion in the body of Christ about this question primarily because most believers do not distinguish between the soul and the spirit. They are certainly NOT the same, nor are they interchangeable. Hebrews 4:12 points out the distinction, clearly suggesting that if we are to walk in the spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh—if we are to walk by faith and not by sight—if we are to crucify the flesh–then the soul and the flesh must be divided by the two-edged sword of the word of God.

In order to answer this question, we also need to have a sense of the differences and similarities between our  soul and our spirits. There are quite a few similarities. Though the body is mortal, the spirit and the soul are both eternal. As the body is finite and material, both the soul and the spirit are invisible and without natural substance. As the body has five senses, the spirit and the soul have senses also.

The spirit is heaven bound. If it were not for the soul, the spirit would “fly away.” The body is earth-bound. The two meet and correspond with each other through the activity of the soul. So a basic definition of the soul is that the soul is the mediator between the spirit and the body—an interpreter. A control center, if you will, with the brain of the body as its command center.

A person who is alive yet brain-dead, is one whose spirit is still in his body but his soul has left. A body without a soul is dead so they turn off the plug and the spirit flies away. However, when the spirit leaves and the soul remains in the body, as long as the spirit does not travel too far into “outer space,” the soul keeps the body intact and alive. Out of body experiences are called astral travel by occultists. However, every day, the spirit often takes “little trips” through day dreaming and deeper forms of altered states of consciousness.

When the body is asleep, the soul is busy keeping things in order.

For example, when you are sleeping and your body gets the urge to urinate, the spirit will create a toilet in a very imaginary way. Because I take a water pill at night, this happens to me frequently. The soul tries to “help out” and I see the toilet in the spirit, but something always goes wrong. In a dream, I see myself making the effort, but the sensation in my body continues to increase and my soul continues to try to work things out in my mind, but a mental picture of urinating does not help the situation. So my soul simply wakes up my body and says, “hey Pam, you’d better get your body up before we have an accident in this bed.”

This little example shows how when you are sleeping, the body is at rest and therefore is at its weakest. The spirit and the soul often fight for control, at times manifested as a strange dream. Demons also try to send their messages to the soul and God will also communicate in dreams, but only to your spirit. While the spirit operates in the unconscious realm of intuition, the body in the conscious realm of the natural world, the soul functions in both realms. For this reason, the soul and the spirit of a born again, saved person must be divided, for God will only speak to your spirit.

Here is the thing. When the Holy Ghost draws us to Jesus, our spirits immediately become “born again.” That which is flesh is flesh. Flesh is a mixture of soul with the body. Flesh is also a mixture of soul with the spirit. So when God “saves us,” He

"I'm a new creature because I have a new spirit. Old things are passed away and all things have become NEW!!!

gives us a NEW SPIRIT. All of the darkness that was in our spirits BEFORE the Holy Ghost translates us out of darkness into God’s marvelous light, our spirits were depraved and contaminated with evil. That is why when we slept, we had so many nightmares. The evil that we saw was merely a reflection of our own dark spirits, contending with demons.

When our spirits are born again, all things pass away, all things become NEW. We become a “new creation.” God’s light comes into our spirits and our spirits become the temple of God. Our spirits are ALWAYS eternal, both before salvation and after it. Before the new birth, our spirits are in captivity to Satan. As soon as we say “yes” to the invitation of Jesus, our spirits are immediately changed, justified, sanctified, seated in heavenly places. We are “translated” or brought out of Satan’s dark jail into the marvelous light of Jesus Christ. To be sanctified is to be set apart for God’s use—a vessel of God. To be justified is to be treated as though we never sinned. We are washed and cleansed. We are seated in heavenly places immediately, with our prayers having immediate access to the throne of God.

I know that rebirth is immediate because the Lord allowed me to actually SEE the process at the moment of the rebirth of my  own spirit. I was laying on my back on my couch in a birthing position, legs wide open as in labor. Contractions began to occur but they were not in my womb. They were in the chest/belly area, the seat of my spirit. As I lay there, I saw a light, like the hand of God, go into that area, as if it was gently massaging me there. I had about 4 deep “birth pains” and then “voila!”

"I'm a new creature because I have a new spirit!' Cool Christian Cat! lol

Hard to explain. All I know is that the old gospel song which asks “how did you feel when you come out the wilderness? Did your hands look new and your feet too?” Yes, Lord! lol. I actually felt like I had just been born for the FIRST time. It was like I had no existence before that day on 3/29/1977 at 4pm on a Monday! I was crying and laughing at the same time! What joy unspeakable. I have felt the joy of the Lord many times, but never like the day that my spirit was made new and I was born again.

However, the soul said, “Hey, Pam. You are 33 years old. Life goes on. Let’s get real, here, okay?”

Yep. My un-renewed soul showed up the next day, March 30. It was my favorite aunt’s birthday. I’d never missed sending her a card or buying her a gift. So I wanted to call her. The Holy Spirit said “No, Pam. Today is God’s day.” I struggled real hard that day. The Lord told me to sit and think on nothing but Him for the entire day. Try as I might, it was real rough. I wanted to go see about my aunt. As I sat there, my mind thought of all the things I could be doing. I remember thinking, “the toilet needs to be cleaned.” I wanted to get up from being before the Lord to clean my toilet. It was the strangest thing because my flesh is not fond of house cleaning. By sundown, I was a sobbing mess!!!

That is how the Lord showed me that even though my spirit was born again, the salvation of my soul had to be “worked out.” How? By the renewing of my mind.

I’m just going by memory here but this is how the salvation of our souls is worked out. We present our bodies—-all 3 parts–as a sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God as a reasonable service. Where our soul and our bodies are concerned, we are not to be conformed to this world. Instead, we are to allow ourselves to be “transformed” by THE RENEWING OF OUR MINDS.

With a renewed mind, the salvation of our souls is worked out. Why? Because the soul consists of the mind, the intellect, the emotions, the feelings, ie. the individual, human personality that makes each of us different—one from the other. There are no souls that are the same. So the renewal will affect each of us differently.

Each soul is an “I AM.” However, God is the I AM THAT I AM.” So the working out of the soul’s salvation often involves wrestling not only with principalities and powers but with God Himself. The Holy Ghost, though the Comforter, He is also the taskmaster. He helps us to put to death the deeds of the flesh for we can not work out the salvation of our soul’s without the Holy Ghost. He will put us in situations in order to break the “self” aspect of our soul because the soul is “all about self.”

FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TEST

The SEW Training Program is about fruitbearing in Christ.

An examination of  whether or not the fruits of the Holy Spirit are being manifested in your life is one of the primary ways to examine whether or not you are truly saved or if you have been deceived into a false conversion.  When you consider a decorative bowlof fruit as a centerpeice on a dining room table, sometimes a plastic apple or orange looks so good from a distance, very often even better than the real thing.  You don’t find out that it is fake until you pick it up.  It is dead andd light weight, without the genuine smells and other qualities of a juicy peice of real fruit.  So too with spiritual fruit. So to examine and test whether or not you are really born again, we need to focus on the Lord’s own words. He said simply “you shall know them by their fruit. As recorded by Matthew in the 13th chapter, Jesus defined how we become born again.

  •  We hear the word.
  •  We understand it.
  •  We receive it into the good ground of our soul and our spirit.
  • We  receive the fruit of the Holy Ghost and
  • We become “fruitful.”

Therefore we need to know what fruit IS so that we can objectively  test whether our fruit is of the Holy Spirit or if it is fake fruit.

Here is where most professing Christians go wrong. We read Galatians 5 and we say to ourselves “Oh, I’m a loving person so I have the fruit of love. I don’t gossip or backbite and I am usually understanding and kind. I am also patient and peaceful, much more since “I accepted Jesus” then before, so I know I am saved. I don’t commit sins of the flesh so I am born again. This is error. People of other religions often do not  fornicate or indulge in the obvious sins of the flesh. Yet, like everyone else without Christ, they are lost sinners, separated from a holy and righteous God/n fact, ALL have sinned by their very nature, whether they actually DO the sinful act or not. As Jesus said, if a married man even looks lustfully at a woman without having sex, he is still an adulterer in the eyes of the Almighty.

What we need to understand is that the fruits of the Holy Spirit are not natural, human qualities. Since the seeds of these fruits are imparted to us at the exact moment of conversion, they are supernatural and they are divine.

 Here is a personal example.

Pam Sheppard, A wise, virtuous woman of God.

When I got saved, I hated white people. I was a racist. There were two little white boys that chased my 8-year-old daughter from the school bus to her door every day. These kids called her “nigger” every day. It was a Monday, March 29th, 1977 at 4pm. I had just gotten born again about 10 minutes before, so I was not standing at the bus stop waiting to protect my daughter as was my custom.  I heard my daughter banging on the door and there were the same two boys right behind her.  I scooped them both up in a hug, smeared my kisses on their cheeks and invited them in to have some milk and cookies. That ended the problem of those 2 little boys trying to hurt my child.  Then there was the time that the woman who stole my first husband from me was pregnant. She was the worst enemy I have ever had in my life, but in  my heart was complete forgiveness and love for her and her unborn child, a supernatural love that was beyond my human nature to even approximate. I went to her baring gifts for the unborn and sincerely asked her how I could help. Everyone who knew the former, unsaved Pam thought that I had lost my mind.  I did not. The love of God, the first fruit of the Spirit was shed abroad by the Holy Ghost into my spirit, empowering me to manifest the fruit of divine love for an enemy.

What you may be counting as fruit for Jesus Christ may simply be a work or ability of your own soul. Human beings have the power to change our attitudes, behaviors and even our personalities without God being involved in the change. We can stop using drugs by the power of our wills. We can pull ourselves up by our own boot straps.  I know for a fact, because this is what I had done BEFORE I was saved. I turned a streetwoman into an educated, prospering lady. When the Holy Ghost got a hold of me, He said “Pam, you took yourself out of the streets and ghetto life, but the streets and ghetto life are still IN you. You changed yourself from the outside in. I will change you from the inside out. Only I can turn you into a sinless, justified, sanctified virtuous woman. What you did was without ME. Not good enough. For without Jesus Christ, you can do nothing.”

In the SEW Program, we will help you  to prepare the ground of your spirit so that it can become good ground for receiving the fruits of the Holy Spirit. For more info, call 518-477-5759
