RENEWING THE MIND BY WALKING ON HOT SAND!

I am summarizing  some scriptures here, so please  bare with me as I  paraphrase a bit.

Paul wrote to the Romans, “be not conformed to THIS world but be transformed by the renewing of the mind so that you can prove the perfect will of God for your life.” He also warned the Corinthians about casting down imaginations and thoughts  that could exalt themselves ABOVE the knowlege of God. Paul implied that  all thoughts could be “captured” and brought into obedience to the will of God. We know the general will of God from His word.  However, it is the Holy Ghost Who provides the direction of our individual lives   once our minds have been renewed.

Therefore, a renewed mind precedes knowing what God’s will for US is.

So I suggest to you that discovering the will of God for your life involves a renewal. There are some key points that I would like to underscore:

  • We are what we THINK we are.  Our thoughts have power to draw both evil and godly energy.  If we have practiced negative self talk, in the same manner, we should consciously practice godly self talk.  Godly thought will bring about godly talk. Godly talk will bring forth the fruits of victory in casting down evil thoughts.
  •
  • A part of renewing the soul is to learn how to deal with what is uncomfortable.  Walking on the sands of  a beautiful  beach on a hot sunny day has its comforts and delights.  However,if  the sand is very “hot,”  it is difficult to walk on it.  Struggles and failures supply the necessary preparation to learn how to “walk on hot sand.”.
  •
  • Where deliverance from demonic oppression is concerned, torment can be a blessing.  Torment wipes out the delusion that “all is well” and knocks off the rose colored glasses. The tormented one is pressured to search for answers and solutions—something that he would not have even considered if he had not desperately sought release from the torment.
  • Anyone who makes desicions either by the influence of an unrenewed mind or emotions is usually weak in his or her will.  The will is the organ that examines, distinguishes, judges and makes decisions based upon the information received from the mind and the emotions.
  • Choices can often be longlasting and unchangeable. We can make the choice but we cannot choose the outcome or the repercussion. In other words, we can choose to sin but we cannot choose the wages of that sin.
  • One of the fallacies is that we assume that we have time to change.  When physical death appears to be “far off,” our will power tends to procrastinate and take chances.  However, when death is a daily reality, we learn to live and make choices that prolong our days.

Once we discover what we need to learn about our own inner struggles, there are other people who will need our testimony and our influence so that that too can be victorious.  A major purpose of struggling is that we can become consolers of those who are struggling in those areas where we have become triumphant.  By planting new seeds of power into our minds, old patterns and habits will be destroyed by the resurrection power of the Holy Ghose.  In a symbolic  context, the seeds are as Jesus said. They are the words of  fruitbaring power.

What is the Christian Women’s Answer to Domestic Violence Part 3

Domestic violence is rarely handled effectively by the church. Shame and blame is often cast upon the backs of women who are victims. This is last of a series, on what women can do if pastors or Christian leaders give off color advice, such as advising victims to obey their husbands. But God supports your decision to leave violent abusers. Psalm 19:48 says that you have been delivered from the violent man. Why would God want you to stay in a violent, domestic violence household.

I’ve been in a domestic violence situation, and I can tell you this: Jesus Christ of Nazareth ,did not die on the cross for God’s daughters would remain in bondage to violence. If the Son has truly set you free, you are free indeed. Good Christian men exist, the violent man is an exception. You can learn to forgive your husband, or the one who is inflicting violence upon you. But first and foremost—-Get yourself and children to SAFTY.

Pam Sheppard has over 25 years pastorial experience, and her expertise in deliverance counseling is second to none. Her team of deliverance ministers are waiting now to advice and support you. You will need expert support, and guidance in making your exit to safety.Domestic violence can cause you to lose your life. Those with no experience, will have you engaging in talk therapy. You need to take immediate action.

The devil will put strongholds meant to stop you from taking authority by helping yourself. Don’t feel ashamed. Only feel shame, if you are a person with no intentions of helping yourself and children.

Last, but not least, don’t be fooled by a violent man’s promise to change. He will promise you the moon, but the next time he abuses, you could end up dead. Abusers blow hot air, and lie. Remember that domestic violence is a crime punishable by law.

The Christian women’s answer to domestic violence puts you in charge. Abusers will not change unless you give them a reason to you. If you stay you give a silent message that violence on your person is acceptable. God’s helping hands can’t embrace you fully, if your living in sin. It is a sin to put yourself and your children in harms way. Also, by continuing to live with violent spouses you hold up their salvation, and your own. If you stay, your going against God’s las of love.

The does heal relationships. God is in the business of restoration. But your only concern should be to protect yourself, and the children God has entrusted to you.

We’re waiting for your call, and we’re waiting to help right now.

What is the Christian Women’s Answer to Domestic Violence? Part 1

Domestic violence is an age old problem. Christian women who are being abused, often find that churches, as a whole, are ineffective in dealing with these issues. A large majority of pastors, and Christian leaders are ashamed to admit that domestic violence is a problem in their church. I was a victim of domestic violence, and I know what can happen when a woman tries to get help from her church. This article will help you understand, how to handle domestic violence issues when your pastor is in denial.

In addition, if you or anyone you know is a victim of this type of torment and bondage go here http://www.pamsheppard.com/online_ministers_available

Pam supervises a team of online ministers who know, and understand exactly what your going through. At Sheppard’s Counseling Center, we’re here to help you, no matter your situation.

This article is for informational purposes only. Call our office for professional help, and guidance. The Christian women’s answer to domestic violence is not difficult to understand. All one has to do is use the common sense God gave you. Some pastors refuse to give rational assistance and supporting scriptures to abused women. Instead, they will say ” God wants you to obey your husband “. To add insult to injury, pastors may also say ” you need to pray and change YOUR behavior.

Call (518) 477-5759 For Immediate Help

What pastors need to tell you, is that violence abuse is criminal behavior, and God would not want you to harbor a criminal. What Christian leaders need to do, is stop blaming the victim. Such leaders are in need of prayer and forgiveness. What you must do, before trying to help the pastor understand is—GET TO SAFETY! You should pray about your situation, but an angel of the Lord, will not come down from heaven to block the blows. Your first anchor of help, must be thrown by you. You must protect your self and your children. Contact an online minister immediately.

PRIDE IS YOUR ENEMY!

The devil’s deception was broken in my life because I am quick to admit to error and I am not a people pleaser.

Facebook is a place where everyone wants to teach and be heard and few want their followers to know that they don’t know very much.   Rebellion and belligerence is very apparent in their various posts which portrays a rebellious  spirit. Since rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, many Facebook teachers are in the hands of the enemy and God has turned some of  them over to strong delusion.

There are some teachers on fb that have actually put people in bondage with their teachings.  I won’t call any names but the truth is that their pride keeps them from being teachable. The enemy loves pride because deception is made easy when we think more highly of ourselves then we ought to think. I am not an advocate of the world’s self-esteem teaching that has been adopted by the religious world.  Self esteem as defined by the world is when the world has high regards for you.  You are accepted, found to be worthy and considered competent. In other words, worldly self-esteem is rooted in what others think of you. And for this reason, those who seek worldly favor will compromise to obtain and sustain the world’s approval.  Christians of this persuasion find that they are always trying to fit in and in so doing, they disobey the Lord’s will to please others.

I have purposed and established in my heart that my self-esteem is found in Jesus Christ.  The Lord is the only one I need to please because I love truth. When the motives of the heart are not pure, truth will be hidden.  To be pure is to be clear, articulate, unclouded understanding.  Not confused, covered up or clandestine. When something is not pure, it is defiled.  To defile is to contaminate or to pollute.  When the heart is not pure, then Satan’s job is easy because defilement has come from within US, usually because of pride. For pride begins with what we say in our hearts and what we believe in our minds. Jesus linked pride to adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy and foolishness. (Mark 7:20-22) A proud mind is not pure because it thinks, feels and behaves in ways that suggest that we think too highly of ourselves.

Pride, self esteem and vanity deny and conceal the truth. These 3 traits will pull you away from the Lord’s will by quenching and grieving the Holy Spirit and your spirit will become blocked from God’s revelation about what is to come.  Pride is also PHONY. Nothing real about it because it puts forth a facade or an act. Pride will cause you to deny your feelings, and pretend so much that you even fool yourself.  But the devil is not fooled. He knows when you are “fronted” before him in your effort to appear to be in control, putting forth that lie when you routinely boast that you are blessed by God. As you over compensate, pride will prevent you from admitting that you need help and therefore the enemy can use your pride to block you from crucial resources.

The proud religious person must ALWAYS appear to be knowledgeable and therefore he or she will never admit to not knowing or understanding a verse of scripture, because they are concerned that others will think them stupid and so they will even lie to cover up their ignorance or their weakness as they  hide the truth to protect their religious image. Such people are already in the hands of  a religious demon. Pride goeth before a fall!

A proud person is not wise either. They make stupid, even costly mistakes. As vanity is excessive pride, a vain person’s conceit will bring sure destruction for self-deception is an open doorway to failure.  Proud people :

  • are outraged when others they that they are superior to them
  • are defensive, always justifying themselves
  • are critical in their efforts to tear down others to build themselves up
  • will hunger for prestige by seeking praise and approval from others
  • adopt the ways of those they are trying to please.
  • make EVERYTHING personal.
  • will live in the past and hunger for “the good old days.”

To the proud I  declare that the world did not create you. The world did not redeem you. When you justify yourself before men, you establish them as your lord with authority and you enable the enemy to deceive you. Remember. God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

HOW THE ENEMY DECEIVES BY USING “GOOD” PEOPLE

LET THE GOOD SPEAK EVIL

In 1988, Geraldo Rivera televised a program that focused on Christian Cults, with the subtitle “Zombies for Christ.” Interviews are held with people who underwent deprogramming from the influence of charismatic, fundamentalist leaders and churches. The major problem that I had with this process, is that those who are doing the “deprogramming” are not born again Christians themselves, and may be deprogramming people completely away from Jesus, which of course is the subtle, underhanded strategy of the devil, using professing Christians against themselves. Worst yet is that they are programming people toward the fake Jesus by telling them to “ask Jesus to come into your hearts.”

People are watching Christian television and reading Christian books, who themselves need to be deprogrammed from error that is causing them to be vulnerable to demonic oppression of a very serious nature. In fact, when I have tried to counsel those who have come to me to seek deliverance from the torment of demons, the mixture and error in their spiritual foundation is extremely deep.  Therefore,  deliverance is severely hindered by the amount of error that these captives have anchored their faith to by watching Christian television or reading the books of various mega preachers.

The problem of today is similar to what Rivera explored in 1988.  Evil spirits know it is fruitless to urge the righteous toward sins of the flesh, so demons use another tactic called DECEPTION. The Satanic strategy is planned in the form of teachings and doctrines that appear “good”. The biggest deception is to receive counsel solely based upon the godly life and character of the counselor or teacher. Most false prophets are clean living, righteous, upstanding folk.  So to receive their teachings based on their “good character” is what the enemy is after.

Therefore, it is important for you to know that every thing that the enemy does is not always evil as he works under the cover of light. So the strategy of deception is to get the righteous or good person to accept a wrong idea and then to pass it off to others “as truth.”

Certainly, the bible   should be the foundation of every Christian. However, it is important to point out that scripture is also  used as the basis of false teaching.  The enemy  has  very skillfully woven into a web certain scriptures  that will ultimately entrap a child of God like the prosperity gospel, praying in the spirit, tongues, slain in the spirit—I could go on and on!. With each false doctrine and practice, the method is to pull single texts out of their original context. In my work with  professing Christians in torment or bondage, the following scripture from the book of James rings true:

WE ARE DECEIVED BY SEEMING TO BE RELIGIOUS, WHEN AN UNBRIDLED TONGUE REVEALS OUR TRUE CONDITION.(James1:26)

I train ministers in our deliverance mentoring program to   listen to the unbridled tongue so as to expose the nature of the deception. Also, Paul wrote to Christians that we are deceived when we think ourselves to be wise with the wisdom of this world.(I Corinthians 3:15) Deliverance Mentoring  is certaining a humbling process, for very often, Christians in torment must resist the devil by admitting that they have been deceived not only by well meaning Christian teachers, family and friends, but also by their own heart. (Jer 17:9, Isaiah 64:20)

Trained ministers serve as mentors to those who have left the organized church.

At Sheppard’s Counseling Center, we de-program the deceived through our deliverance mentoring program. Trained online ministers are available.  www.pamsheppard.com/online_ministers_available

How to Recognize a Lukewarm Christian: My Story by Minister Francine

A Lukewarm Christian is no Christian at all because a lukewarm Christian was never saved in the first place. I just had to jump right in and lay out the truth. Now that that’s out of the way, I’ll make my confession. I used to be a lukewarm Christian. I was a false convert years ago when I thought I believed in Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I did not. I was a false conversion, and what Pam Sheppard describes as a counterfeit birth.

I was brought into a Word of Faith church where I had repeated  the demonic sinners prayer a few times too. False converts are luke warm, false converts are those who Jesus will spew, or vomit out of his mouth. Well my friends, I was ripe for the spewing. I thank God Almightly that He drew me to Himself , to the cross of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and to Godly sorrow.

My friends, in those days, I was hooping, hollering, shouting, falling down slain, with the best of them. Or should I say the worst of them. Yes, I most definitely should say the worst of them. That was then, but now I want to warn you, and ask you to please examine yourself, and make sure you are in the faith. Examine yourself, and make sure you are  not a counterfeit birth like I used to be. We hate to be considered a lukewarm Christian. We can get puffed up, when someone dares say, we may not be saved. But time is running out, and always has been . Each day we move closer to the return of Christ. Pride not only goes before a fall, it can usher us straight into hell.

The day I realized that I was an unsaved religious, sinful, lukewarm Christian, was difficult at best. But God drew me to the cross of Christ, where there was forgiveness, joy unspeakable and a realization that I was nothing. I am nothing, but in Christ I became something.

Lukewarm Christian’s Need to get Saved…Choose

My friends, a lukewarm Christians need to get off the fence and choose whom they will serve. If you have no zeal, or concern for the things of God— beware. Don’t take offence, I was once flippant about the things of God. This is a sign of being unsaved. If your pride  keeps you from examining your self …Beware. If you get angry if someone implies you may be unsaved, and experienced a counterfeit birth…beware!

Always remember the words of Paul the Apostle who commanded that we examine ourselves to be sure we’re in the faith.
Please stay focused and committed to reading this blog.
PAM SHEPPARD has over 25 years experience as a pastor, and her expertise in deliverance counseling is second to none. She has been conducting deliverance sessions, and casting out demons for 37 years. This one fact alone should beckon you to the phone to make the call at 518-477-5759.

Again, don’t be ashamed if you think you may have a ” counterfeit birth. Your first step to true freedom in Christ is your own truths, and who you know yourself to be. Mostly every minister, under Sheppard’s Counseling was a product of  a false conversion at one time or another. They each  recieved deliverance counseling or mentoring from Pam. We were not afraid to examine ourselves in light of scripture, using Pam Sheppard’s groundbreaking deliverance model. In fact, Pam Sheppard coined the term “counterfeit births” and she is an expert on the topic.
