The Mantle of the Prophet Elijah: Is It Outdated?

You know I was just meditating on the word ‘mantle’ today.  And the Lord led me to see that a mantle is nothing more than a coat.  A piece of cloth/clothing used to cover the body.

I have heard ppl today use the word mantle and make it to have some deep spiritual meaning.  Some would say that a mantle is a spiritual thing, the mantle is the ‘anointing’ of someone who we respected in the past-but who are now dead and gone.  And we covet their anointing.

We get this belief system from the story of the prophets  Elijah and Elisha.  More in particular, 1 Kings 19, when the prophet  Elijah has his encounter with the Lord while he is hiding out from Jezebel.  After he gets the Word of the Lord, he goes to Elisha and hit him with his coat-as if to anoint him-as he goes about the mission to bring down Jezebel.

Later on, in 2 Kings 2, this is when Elijah and Elisha are DIVINELY separated….by the HOLY GHOST.  Verse 1 says the Lord was taking Elijah up to heaven.  Not that he was gonna die.  Three times, Elijah tried to prepare Elisha for his departure.  First, he tells him, ‘Im going to Bethel.’  Then to Jericho.  Then to Jordan.  All three times, Elisha wasn’t having it.  He responded, “As the LORD lives and as you live, I won’t leave you.”

On the 3rd time, Elijah took off his mantle/his coat, and smote the Jordan.  It parted and the both of them crossed over.  Elijah asked Elisha ‘What do you want me to do for you?’  Elisha coveted after the ONLY anointing he had ever known or see…or beheld…which was that of Elijah’s!  So, of course, he wanted it.

Elijah told him ‘This is a hard thing.  But if you see me when Im taken, then you got it.  If you dont see it, you cant….’

Elijah was trying to build Elisha’s FAITH.

I want you all to see this:  in this realm, dispensation of the world, the Holy Ghost WAS NOT GIVEN!  The only power ppl in the OT ppl witnessed was thru the hands of other ppl.  Chosen vessels God set apart to dispense that power and glory in this earth realm.  But b/c the Holy Ghost was not yet poured out on the earth, b/c we were yet in our sins, because only a select few vessels were usuable in the hands of God….AND since the WORD OF THE LORD was Precious and RARE in those days…then YES, they practically WORSHIPPED man.  This is why Elijah, Moses and other prophets had to be taken away after a few years.  Because it was (and is) the nature of man to worship flesh.  And if flesh is all they see and behold, man will worship….FLESH.

So we know the story, how it ends.  Elijah is taken up in chariot of fire and Elisha wallks in ‘Elijahs’ anointing,’ which in essence really ISN’T his…but GOD’S!!!

Moses had to be supernaturally taken away, too. Hmmm…

BUT…

WE ARE NOW IN A DIFFERENT DISPENSATION!  THE HOLY GHOST HAS BEEN POURED OUT!

We no longer have to covet the anointing-or the mantle-of another!  NO MATTER HOW POWERFUL THEY ARE!!!!!!!

B/c no matter HOW powerful they are, WE MUST REMEMBER THAT POWER BELONGS TO GOD!!!!!  AND NOT MAN!!!!!  THE VERY POWER THEY POSSESS CAME FROM THE LORD!!!!!

IN THIS DISPENSATION, WE NOW EACH HAVE OUR OWN, SPECIAL, UNIQUE MANTLES!

We dont  need to wait til someone dies and then go off into the spirit somewhere, to call upon the mantle of Roberts, Kuhlman, Allen, McPherson or any of the other greats of the past to do the will of God for TODAY!!!!

THANK GOD FOR THOSE VESSELS!  BUT THEY POSSESSED THE ANOINTING THAT THEY NEEDED, FOR THEIR TIME, THEIR DISPENSATION!

BUT WE REQUIRE A GREATER ANOINTING, A GREATER GLORY!  A GREATER POWER!!!

We must NOT venture off into idolatry and witchcraft by calling on the mantles and spirits of dead men and women of God.  THIS IS NOT pleasing to God….not at all!

There IS NO power in the so-called mantles of the past.  

There is ONLY power the anointing that destroys EVERY yoke!  And that anointing-unlike evil spirits-are NOT transferable!  I know-the most popular of preachers have taught this, but that is error and deception.

The ANOINTING comes STRAIGHT from GOD HIMSELF!  SEEK GOD FOR THE ANOINTING….PRESS IN FOR HIS ANOINTING AND POWER!!!!!

Seek that from NONE other!

The reason why it is so important to me that you all understand this is b/c that today a mantle is something entirely different than what it was in the OT.  In the OT, the mantle, or the addereth, the prophet’s garment, glory, simply put, a cloak.    But in the NT, the word ‘mantle’ is NOT found.  I wonder why?

A cloak is an outer garment.  More specifically, A loose outer garment, such as a cape. Something that covers or conceals.

We have ALL heard it said, ‘The OT is the NT concealed and the NT is the OT REVEALED…’

Well, the reason why the prophets in the OT had to go around wearing cloaks is b/c the whole spirit of prophecy HAD to be concealed!  For the Holy Ghost had not yet been released in the earth and JESUS CHRIST had yet to come!  So it all had to stay a mystery!

But in the NT, there was no longer any need to conceal, only to REVEAL!

GLORY!

So the equivalent word for mantle in the NT would be garment.

But I must share with you that cloaks were NO LONGER NEEDED after Jesus was revealed and manifested n this realm!

After the birth of the early church, cloaks only became important to those who were workers of witchcraft….and the religious!

Religious people place over-importance on outer garments.  This is why after the apostles were martyred, and the fake church was instituted, they started putting extravagant outer garments, cloaks and robes on the leaders…that was supposed to give them importance, pre-eminence, power and authority!

They could only imitate and emulate the power that THEY were aware of and knew about.

I want you to take a good look at the picture I posted to this note:  it is a robe that a witch or a warlock would wear.

I am sure in many a satanic cult or witches coven, they STILL have these rites of passages like the one that occurred between Elijah and Elisha.  ‘What?’  I can hear many of you say right now…

‘How could u say that? That was Elijah and Elisha!  Are you saying the exchange of power that occurred between those two was demonic?’

NO…

What I AM saying is that it was necessary ….FOR THEN.  But NOW?

NO!  It is not necessary!

We can go STRAIGHT TO GOD OURSELVES and HE CAN ENDUE US WITH POWER FROM ON HIGH…not merely from some garment!  And THAT exchange WE KNOW will be a godly one.  A pure one.  A holy one.  AN ordained one!

Remember, the devil is a master imitator.  Whatever God does, he wants to do.  You better believe, if he could imitate impartation services, he could….and does.  I PROMISE you…at many sacrifices and satanic rituals, there are demonic ‘impartation services’ too.  They are ppl that pull on the ‘mantles’ of ppl like Anton Lavey, the founder of Satanism, who passed in the late 90s.  Or Jim Jones.  Or even Hitler.

Yes, there are evil ppl that COVET power….and they DO NOT CARE WHERE OR WHO is the source of that power!

This is why we have to be SO VERY CAREFUL of the experiences that we embrace in the church!  Teachings and doctrines that we wholeheartedly accept, w/o balancing that thing in the spirit or against the integrity of the SCRIPTURES…we are OPEN PLAYING FIELD FOR DEMONIC activity…in our lives, in our homes, and in our churches!

So before you start praying for mantles….ask God to open your understanding and not to be deceived or duped by religion.

False Conversions – No More ISHMAELS, Part 2

Now, I will say this:  the birthing of a GOD GIVEN, GOD ORDAINED thing, whether it be a ministry, a child, a marriage, a business, a dream, a vision, etc…whatever it is….IS NOT A BAD THING!  The Word of God says the people PERISH w/o a vision!

But when u start getting into birthing things that GOD DID NOT SAY TO BIRTH, you are going off into dangerous, rebellious territory.  B/c WHATEVER is not BORN OF GOD IS BORN OF THE DEVIL!!!!!  NO MATTER WHAT IT IS!!!!!!

The desire to birth a thing falls into sin when GOD DID NOT TELL YOU TO DO IT.  Period.

The best protection against this deception is to be LED BY THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD!!!!!  Learn to hear from the Lord for yourself.  HE WILL let you know if He is pleased with what ur doing or not!

I don’t care if the most popular of preachers encourage you to do it.  I have heard such preachers as TD Jakes, Juanita Bynum and Cindy Trimm talk of birthing things…in the Spirit.  I have heard of them speaking of spiritual stimulation and impartation.  This is nothing more than sensual, soulish, and even demonic and should NOT be entertained!  It does not matter WHO teaches it, if it cannot be supported by scripture or goes AGAINST it, it must be refuted.

There are so many Ishmaels running around today…Ishmaelite ministries, marriages, literal Ishmael children!  Its tight, but ITS RIGHT!  Things and people GOD did not ordain to be in the earth.

Now, its not to say Ishmael is not, won’t be, blessed.  Of course, they will.  BUT they will be blessed, empowered-eventually-to go AGAINST the Spirit of God and the will and plan of God.  It was not, IS NOT, the will of God that we have to deal with the Iraqi war.  Look at all the ppl who have died as a result of this war.  Why?  B/c 1000s of years ago, Abraham couldn’t WAIT ON THE LORD for His promise…he had ‘to help God out.’

Now, God is still God.  He is still on the throne.  He will grant victory.  BUT LOOK AT WHAT COST!

Had Abraham kept his pants on-if he had any-there would be no war over there right now.  9-11 would have never happened!

When the sons of men slept with the women after the flood….they created giants (Ishmaels) who terrorized the land.  Much sin was wrought in the earth.  I honestly believe THIS is when homosexuality was introduced into the earth.  Hence, Sodom and Gomorrah….

Why?

ILLEGITIMATE STIMULATION, INTERCOURSE IN THE SPIRIT AND THE NATURAL, ILLEGITIMATE IMPARTATION AND CONCEPTIONS AND ILLEGITIMATE BIRTHS!!!!!!!!

Now, I know.  Someone is gonna say…’How could a birth of a child EVER be wrong?’

When it was NOT in the will of GOD for that child to be conceived in the first place!  THATS HOW!!!

Ishmael was NOT supposed to be born, or conceived.  But he was, by folks who said they knew God, too.

Don’t tell me saved folks don’t birth things illegitimately!  It happens more times than we like to mention!

BE NOT EQUALLY YOKED TOGETHER WITH UNBELIEVERS is a real concept, ppl.

Translate that to mean, also…’DON”T HAVE NO BABIES WITH THEM, EITHER!”

Ministerially speaking, don’t start ministries, fellowship with, partner with, ANYONE who you KNOW is an unbeliever.  I don’t care if Apostle, Prophet, Chief Prelate of whatever, Pastor, or Evangelist is in front of their name.  The DEVIL got his five fold, too!  WHY?  TO ILLEGITIMATELY BIRTH MINISTRY-DEMONIC MINISTRY-IN THE SPIRIT AND THE NATURAL.

God is FOR giving birth…but ONLY to what HE HAS ORDAINED.

Now there IS mercy for those of us who have birthed Ishmaels, and I believe we all have.  But do know that some of the very trials, tribulations and adversities that we seek prayer and intercession for ON A CONSISTENT BASIS were NOT initiated or ordained to take place in our lives.  These things we go thru were not the destinies God had in mind for us.  But we bring them on ourselves as a result of our sin.  Abraham had to forever deal with the separation from his own flesh and blood b/c of his disobedience.  And I am sure he had NO idea that his precious little Ishmael would grow up to birth a nation of ppl that would forever be at war with HIS ppl!

We bring trouble on ourselves in our own disobedience, impatience and rebellion. God is there to help…but how much greater reward is it if instead of taking all that time, energy, anointing and applying it to the original assignments GOD ordained for us to complete instead of trying to FIX problems/Ishmaels WE birthed into this realm?   But do know that even in mercy, there is a price to pay for disobedience.

We truly reap what we sow….

Please take heed.  THIS IS REAL!  The enemy is not gonna came at some of us with crack, or Hypnotiq or perversion.  Some of us he is gonna get with false ministry gifts, false five fold, false anointings coming to us and presenting themselves like they are the real thing.

KEEP UR EYES OPEN!

False Conversions – No more ISHMAELS! Part 1

For the past few days, the Lord has been dealing with me heavily about Ishmaels.  Those things that we tend to birth thru our flesh b/c we find it SO hard to wait on the Lord.

It is in the nature of a woman-in particular-to want to birth a thing.  Men, too.  But for different reasons:  women love the idea of birthing something, anything, b/c it makes them feel more productive.  It gives her a sense of purpose and fulfillment unlike any other thing a woman can do.  This is why there are teenage pregnancies and what not…that girl wants something to love, to cherish, to nurture, to bring up…b/c it gives her a sense of PURPOSE.  Something to love.

So whether she is ready or prepared for it or not, she gets pregnant.

As it is in the natural, so it is in the SPIRIT.

A female wants to feel like she can nurture something.  So she will hook herself up with someone who SHE KNOWS is not of God b/c she feels like she is anointed enough, powerful enough, on it in the Spirit enough to nurture and love that thing to perfection!  Whether it be a ministry, a husband, a child, a business…whatever.

ILLEGITIMATE BIRTHS in the spirit….

For the man, a man gets a sense of accomplishment when he procreates.  He is made to feel like he is virile, powerful, and EVERY man wants a seed in the earth that will outlast him.  God created the man like that….that desire to procreate IS a godly thing….God PUT that in the man.

The problem arises when the man is OUTSIDE OF THE WILL OF GOD…and yet still wants to procreate.

It is when a man is not ready for the responsibility when the problem arises….

As it is in the natural, so it is in the spirit….

A man who knows he is anointed by God, but IS NOT READY for ministry will seek illegitimate means to support his ministry.  He will go thru great lengths-most of them ungodly ones-to ‘birth’ a ministry.

The following are some thoughts God dropped in my spirit regarding ILLEGITIMATE BIRTHS….

“That devil KNOWS a MAN and another MAN cannot reproduce, and that IS the #1 agenda of the enemy. To reproduce after HIS OWN KIND…

So whether it presents itself in the form of a homosexual or a partner in ministry, that spirit will SEEK OUT THE WOMB-whether natural OR spiritual-of A WOMAN so that it can properly reproduce after its own kind!!!!! LADIES, BEWARE!!!!! When a man seeks out a woman to ‘help out in the ministry…’ He knows he cannot do anything-i.e., have a baby, have a well rounded ministry, a legitimate one-without the natural OR spiritual womb OF A WOMAN. BE PRAYERFUL!”

“And Im NOT just talking about PHYSICAL reproduction-Im talking about SPIRITUAL reproduction as well! Why do you think all these illegitimate ministries are being birthed? Illegal, illegitimate spiritual intercourse & impartation, conception – then birthing!”

“It started with illegitimate STIMULATION-they flatter you telling you how anointed you are, they want to take you under their wings to cultivate the anointing in you-as if THEY harvested the anointing themselves! ILLEGITIMATE STIMULATION!”

“Some so called ‘men of God’ will link up with you NOT for the $$$, ur anointing, legitimacy in ministry, etc, but b/c they want to have a child with you!”

“OH LORD! I know Im gonna get it for this. But I am about to EXPOSE that devil and ALL his plots and schemes! A couple got married-a ‘man of God’ and a lady I know, and when I heard about it, the spirit of the Lord told me ‘he is only marrying her to have a child with her….’ I was like WHOA!!!! Didn’t give it a 2nd thought!”

“You see, ladies, what we’re dealing with IS A SPIRIT. And this spirit mimics the Spirit of GOD. Just like God wants us to ‘be fruitful and multiply,’ so does this evil spirit seek to ‘be fruitful & multiply!’ Some of these so called men of God KNOW they are on their way to a burning hell, and want a ‘seed’ in the earth to continue the mission that they are on. One case in point is that HOMOSEXUAL spirit. We all get up in arms about how the homosexual agenda is spreading like wildfire thru every aspect of society. Well, this is why same sex marriages are becoming legalized. This is why now it is easier for a same sex couple to adopt than it EVER was. But ALSO there are HOMOSEXUALS that are actually procreating with women to re-populate the earth with MORE homosexuals. YES, ITS TRUE!”

Nothing but FALSE CONVERSIONS in the spirit!

“You say, how is that possible? Well, think about it: look in the church. It seems like there are MORE homosexual leaders now more than ever…but they came from SOMEWHERE! The likes of James Cleveland and Walter Hawkins and others in the church married, procreated with women, and birthed a whole new species of gay and lesbian offspring. So all these ppl who are struggling with their sexuality were birthed from corrupted seed, undelivered seed. And NO ONE in the church confronted the sin. Our grandparents and parents KNEW this was going on in the church! But NO ONE dealt with it. And sin that is not dealt with GROWS. Look at what happened to the artist formerly known as Tonex. He was molested by those in church as a child-IN AN APOSTOLIC CHURCH! And NO ONE dealt with it. But now everyone wants to bash him…YET NO ONE tried to help him when he was a child. They just let this stuff continue in the church…”

“LADIES: YOU ARE THE ENTRYWAY-THE LEGAL ENTRYWAY-INTO THIS EARTH REALM! ANYTHING THAT IS BIRTHED IN THIS REALM HAS TO COME THRU UR LOINS! WATCH WHO U ALLOW TO FERTILIZE UR EGGS! SPIRITUAL AND NATURAL!!!!!!!   B/C WHAT U BIRTH COULD BE OF THE DEVIL!!!!!!”

“JUST LIKE CHRIST-THE MESSIAH OF THE WORLD-HAD TO COME THRU THE WOMB OF A WOMAN, THE ANTICHRIST AND EVERY SPIRIT ATTACHED TO IT HAS TO COME THRU THE LOINS OF A WOMAN!”

“The enemy will constantly seek to birth thru ur womb, spiritual or natural seed. Ministries. Children-natural and spiritual. Businesses. ANYTHING! PROTECT UR ANOINTING!”

“In this society, childbearing and having kids has become idolized…hence, all these shows showing women in the delivery room and what not. Folks are actually worshipping the act of childbearing. And religious folks or spiritually blind folks cannot see what the enemy is doing….he is shutting the wombs of the righteous by getting the righteous to procreate with the ‘sons of men.’ NOT the sons of GOD! So every birth of a child is supposed to be blessed,according to the religious. But those of us who are spiritual know better. Do yall remember that movie ‘The Omen?’ There are some children who GOD did NOT ordain to be here…the DEVIL did. The devil seeks to procreate JUST like GOD does. That is one thing the enemy covets, possibly even more than the anointing he once had! So now since he see he cannot get the anointing back, he seeks a legal entryway into the earth realm BY WAY OF THE WOMB OF A WOMAN! That way the position and assignment THAT DEMON cannot fulfill, HIS CHILD WILL! MY GOD! GRASP THIS IN THE SPIRIT!”

Learning From Your Mistakes

Mistakes and Deliverance

 It has been my experience that the doorway UNKNOWINGLY left wide open to demonic torment is a captive’s fear of ever making a mistake. Demons take great pleasure in tormenting people who they can control with criticism, shame and accusation. As a deliverance counselor, I realize that for each captive, there is a different root cause. For the most part, a fear of making a mistake comes from how you were raised. Those who have been under the authority of extremely judgmental, critical parenting are inclined to either become passive or aggressive in their response to this fear.

 The passive ones try to “always be correct and proper” because they are afraid of suffering the consequences that judgmental parenting brings. On my web caseload over the last 9 years, those who are constantly hearing critical, accusing voices in their minds have been raised by critical, judgmental parents. Perfectionism in passive people also leads them to be ardent people pleasers–a breeding ground for depression.

 The aggressive folks tend to become the rebels of the world who often seem to make mistakes on purpose and by design because they simply enjoy annoying people. In other words, “if you made me the black sheep of the family, I’m going to play that role with style and gusto! If you told me when I was 10 years old that I am going to be no good, just like my father, well, I am going to be “my father” to the 25th power. So watch me, Mom, as I go through the revolving prison door of recidivism. Watch me and suffer Mom, because you have tried to frame me with a fear of being like a Dad that I didn’t even know, because of you and YOUR failures!

 Here is another pattern. January 2 of every year  could be renamed “Get Rid of the Fat Day. There are unseen reasons why some of us got fat. Here is the scenario for the rebel:  ” If you have called me “fat” all of my life when I was not fat but voluptuous and my sensuality disturbed you, Mom—-I am REALLY going to become fat just to show you what FAT REALLY IS AND that I don’t care what you think of my body type!!!!”

 Scenarios like these are often played out on a sub-conscious level. Anytime you don’t know who you are and why you are behaving the way that you do, you are a prime target for demonic interference. As a deliverance counselor, this is the reason  why I am less concerned about whether or not you ever experimented with the occult or drugs than I am about how you deal with “making mistakes.” It does not take a great deal of education to become a great learner. Learning involves listening and mimicking. Even if we can’t read or write, life itself is going to teach us something!!!” If you have never made a mistake then you have not learned very much.

For the Christian in particular, God designs the lessons of life disguised in the form of obstacles, mistakes and difficulties through a maze of trials, tribulations, troubles and tests. Why? Because the Christian walk in the spirit by faith in God alone is what earns us our eternal crowns. Without any ashes, there is no beauty. Without failure, there is no glory. Without falling, we really don’t know how to stand. We are sinners who must totally rely on the Holy Spirit’s leading in order to please a perfect God. He is pleased when we can resist the pride of our sinful nature and embrace our ashes.

I was born 68 years ago. I was born again  almost 35 years ago. All I have to give to God is a life of mistakes and failures. These are my infirmities, and like Paul, I actually glory in them. I know that I glory in them because when I speak or write about my mistakes, I have no inner pulling of sorrow, shame or regret in my heart. I know that I glory in them because I give practically no thought or expression to the things that man would consider successful accomplishments. I glory in my mistakes because I have come to know that the power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is all over me when I can acknowledge my own weaknesses.

 There is a difference between making a mistake and being a mistake. If I am in Christ, then I am not a mistake. On the contrary, if I rely on “self,” then I am functioning as a mistake. What the bible confirms is that God did not believe that I was a mistake or I would not be here. God does not believe that YOU are a mistake or YOU would not be here either. When we begin to see even an iota of how big and all-consuming God is, then we will stop worrying about our mistakes and the demons that are assigned to us will be bound and gagged.

 Twenty eight years ago, I committed a serious sin that brought about its consequences and its ramifications. On last Friday, the religious demon assigned to me sent me a dream that showed me committing the exact same sin and “loving it.” Demons rarely accuse me of sin because they know that I don’t receive or respond to their guilt trips. However, THIS time, they “got me good” because the dream disturbed at least half of my day. The dream was a mockery. What I found offensive is that I was shown that I still have the desire to do the exact same thing, a sin that would be extremely hurtful to God as well as to other people whom I would certainly hurt.

Do I have the desire to commit the sin again? Absolutely not. Would I do so if tempted? Absolutely not. However, here is the truth of it. The flesh DOES NOT CHANGE! In my flesh, I am STILL capable of committing the exact same sin TODAY!!! Yet, though I am capable, I WILL not do it. Why not? Because I don’t walk in the flesh. I walk in the spirit. And because of Jesus Christ, the desires of my heart and my spirit HAVE CHANGED. There is NO CONDEMNATION TO THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS.

You see, Brethren, Christians who are afraid of making mistakes focus on self-righteousness and not on the righteousness of God in Christ. They are not looking to the cross. They are looking to self. They are trying to please God just as they tried to please their earthly parents. Yet our understanding and practice of perfection is totally different from God’s as it pertains to His people. Take Job, as our classic biblical example. He was as perfect as man can get, pleasing to God, yet prior to Calvary.

That was Job’s problem. He was toooo perfect. He had no mistakes to draw from. Without the mistakes, Job really did not know God very well. Once God allowed the devil to attack Job, Job’s hidden mistakes were revealed. He was focused on “self-righteousness. The true nature of God was also revealed. Once confronted by his religious friends, Job became defensive. Defensiveness is an outgrowth of pride. If you are defensive, then even the very thought of making a mistake becomes a bondage to you. On the real, face it. Mistakes are part of our lives and we will keep making mistakes till our last breath. In my book, “Faces of the Religious Demon” are scores of case summaries of professing Christians who religious demons tormented because their captives were afraid of making mistakes.  For one reason or another, deliverance counseling uncovered   a complicated pride system at the root.

The Top Five New Years Resolutions For 2012: Break Demonic Soul Ties

Does a family member manipulate you? Are you easily controlled and dominated? Are you free to be all that the Lord intends for you to be? Much demonic bondage is formed in childhood. For example, if a parent is manipulative, dominating and controlling, a spirit of witchcraft can enter, perhaps as a root of rejection. (Ex 2o:5)

A soul tie is the knitting together of two or more souls that can either bring tremendous blessing in a godly relationship or pervasive destruction. In a destructive soul tie, the will of the captive or victim is un-naturally affected by the stronger will of another,–the abuser or perpetrator— where the captive’s thoughts, emotions, and actions are no longer his or her own. Since we all form soulties with parents, family and other authority figures, no one is exempt from what I call “soul stealing.”  Here are some signs of soul stealing through an unholy soul tie:

  • Irrational thinking.  You act and do things that don’t make sense.  In such cases, you consistently evaluate your present circumstances according to a previous context–connected to some abuse you endured in the past.
  • You consistently lack joy and peace.
  • You are attracted to people who hurt you.
  • Your relationships are rarely mutually beneficial and you are always left with the short end of the stick.
  • You are often the one in bondage in a relationship.  You are the giver and your partner is always the taker.
  • You allow family members and friends to cause you to violate your own conscience and principles
  • You are easily maneuvered or manipulated by the negative emotions of others, ie their anger, temper, guilt trips and outbursts.

You can’t always run from folk, especially parents, spouses and family members. I have found that the solution is twofold: you must first learn how to govern your own emotions and reactions,  by building up your free will and self authority and then you need for someone like me to cast out that persons spirit from you as if it were a demon. As quiet as it is kept, it is actually  an unseen demon that has helped the aggressor to snatch your soul and en-trap you into a demonic soul tie that the world calls “a co-dependent relationship.”. The demonic or ungodly soul tie is like an invisible rope between you and the perpetrator.  I write about it in more detail in “Faces of the Religious Demon.”  Here is a brief excerpt.

“Counseling should place emphasis on no regrets or brooding over things done and undone. To avoid irrational thinking, the captive must re-learn through counseling, how to discern for himself if he is simply ‘thinking,’ or is he being drawn into a state of regretting or brooding,  Victory in deliverance necessitates victory over the past, in spite of all its failures. the failures should be dealt with on the basis of I John 1:9. Furthermore, the captive need to learn how to discern his or her own thoughts from those implanted into his mind by demons who use the perpetrator “as a voice.”

The Religious Spirit Rules the Organized Church

What I am finding in my counseling practice with Christians, is that churchgoers who are reporting that they are being tormented by demons DID NOT REALLY GET SAVED WHEN THEY THOUGHT THAT THEY DID!!!!! Besides not understanding repentance in a fullness, I believe that what some professing Christians miss is that a resurrected body is the same body that died,—- the original body that has been made new or “renovated.” A glorified body is never subject to death again.

Lazarus was raised from the dead in his “same” body but his body was not glorified because he would die again. Lazarus was not raised immortal. Ola was the first client that manifested this problem. For a year, I did not realize that Ola did not understand this concept. When people say “Jesus was raised from the dead,” those who don’t understand are just repeating a memorized phrase that they have accepted. But when you go deeper, those who have been made confused by word of faith teaching will say “Oh, Jesus had a glorified body which means He had a new body.” I ask them “Well what happened to the old body?” Some will say “it was buried, it decomposed, it floated away with his spirit, “I don’t know”or just “it disappeared in some supernatural way, like the work of a magician who pulls a rabbit out of a hat!”

The root of the problem is that they have misunderstand the scripture in Corinthians which says “it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body, and there is a spiritual body.” I cor 15:44. What they don’t understand is that a natural body is physical and a spiritual body is material as well. A natural body is subject to death. A spiritual body is not. A natural body when dead will decompose or be “corruptible.” A spiritual body is raised “incorruptible.” It will never decay. That is the difference between the two.

So when I ask the key question, “was Jesus raised as a physical body or was He raised as a spirit, the response will be “He was raised as a spirit.” In spite of the fact that Jesus showed his original yet glorified body to Thomas and said to him “a spirit does not have flesh and bone as I have”, they STILL miss it. A crucial error that will determine where they abide in eternity.

I didn’t write this.. Paul did. It is in I Cor 15:17: And if Christ is not risen, your faith is vain (futile) AND YOU ARE STILL IN YOUR SINS. To still be in your sins is to “not be saved or born again.” So if you don’t understand what resurrection means, then how can you believe that “Jesus was risen?” So the logical conclusion is that anyone who does not understand resurrection but came to the Jesus of their understanding IS NOT SAVED!

As both a servant of God and a professional Christian counselor, I really thought that when people said “He is risen,” that they understood what that meant.

Thirty-four years ago when I myself was unsaved, I understood resurrection because I had no concept at all of what a spirit was. I was all flesh: a two-part being of mind and body. So since I didn’t have an understanding of what the word “spirit” meant, I was never confused into thinking that “to be raised” meant to float away as a spirit. All I knew about resurrection was what I had seen in the movies or heard at Easter. I laughed at this. I said “Christians must think that people are stupid. It is very clear to me that when you are dead you are DEAD and there is no coming back to life.”

On the day that I got born again in my living room, faith to believe that Jesus came back to life in the same body that He died in at the cross literally burst through my mind and I was in a state of shock. After I repented for being a sinner, the resurrection flashed into my mind immediately. Once I went to church and became a minister, I didn’t think that what happened to me was supposed to happen to everyone that got saved, even after I read “confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT HE WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD! The Greek word for “heart” is “cardia.” Cardia means “the mind, the emotions, the thoughts and the feelings.” The spiritual heart is a part of the human soul.

Once I explain the resurrection to MOST of my clients who have been confused, none become saved prior to dealing with the issues of being set free from demons. In some cases, the religious demon is so entrenched in the person, that it must be cast out first so that the person can believe in the resurrection. This was the case of Minister Kennedy back in 2001. Practically EVERYTHING that she did that was under the power of a religious demon—a familiar spirit, a spirit of divination: preach, praise the Lord, prophecy, speak in tongues, discern spirits and see into the spirit world, was entirely counterfeited by the religious demon that resides in her. God waited 5 years to save her. Out of 200 cases, Ola is the only one I know for sure is born again.

When you trace their alleged conversion to Christ back to the original source by skillful asking questions during the plowing stage of counseling, the source of the problem is almost always uncovered. For example, when some of my clients came to Christ, they came for the wrong reasons under strange/demonic circumstances. Religious demons “specialize.” There are some who want to do religious things, just like the Pharisees and the Sadducees of Jesus day.Remember the words of the Lord to them?” He said “You will tithe even something as small as a mint. Yet you are like whitewashed tombs, clean on the outside but filled with dead men’s bones. Your are of your Father, the devil. Vipers. A viper is a snake, the snake representing counterfeit religion.

Someone posed the following question to me in an email : if a person is operating off of only what they know and have been taught, won’t the Lord make an exception? Wouldn’t that be another “specific” example? In other words, if someone sincerely repents, loves the Lord, and accepts Him as their Savior, and they die before they have been TAUGHT and DISCIPLED, wouldn’t the Lord take that into consideration? Afterall, HE KNOWS THE HEARTS OF MEN, and we don’t, RIGHT?”

This is the exact situation that each and every one of my clients have found themselves in. The Lord has made an exception in each of their cases. He has seen to it that they DO NOT DIE before they have been un-deceived through counseling. Teaching and discipling is a part of the counseling process. The Lord has taken each client’s plight into consideration, by first opening my eyes and instructing me on how to recognize the deception, and how to counsel, teach and disciple him or her. Some have fallen under the category of II Cor 4:3,4: For if our gospel be hid or veiled, it is hid to those who are lost, whose minds the god of this world has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, which  is the image of God, should shine on them. So I will have to cast out the religious demon first, BEFORE the client can be saved.

If I look at this problem from carnal eyes, then I could get discouraged. I can only handle 30 clients at a time and it takes from 3 months to a year per client. So I continue to train other ministers “to do what I do.”  I just don’t question God about what He is doing for these kinds of captives. I simply DO MY PART which seems so small that it appears non-existent when you consider how many professing Christians may have already been deceived. God does His part. For example, every one of my clients have had a dream that led them to me or they were surfing the web and found me.

People seeking Christ through the ministry of those who are preaching “another gospel” and presenting “another Jesus” in churches of all kinds and with folk who stay home and watch TBN are becoming mentally, spiritually and even physically bound. People are picking up religious demons at pentecostal altars, where they have been “tarrying” or “chanting” to receive the Holy Ghost and to speak with other tongues. Some clients ended up with absolutely no control over their bodies. Those I couldn’t help refused to even consider that they were not saved. Once the Pentecostals got a grip on them and they “manifested” the speaking in a tongues, they became super spiritual. Inch by inch, the demons took over. The demons spoke through several clients, using their bodies to do various things. .You can read more on this in my book “Faces of the Religious Demon.”

In a strange case of a client I call “Carol.” Carol is unique because she is obedient, compliant, coherent and willing to do anything to be delivered, which was not the case with others. I see no real fault in her as I have seen in some of the others. She was simply watching TV, responded to a sinner’s prayer through a Mormon sponsored program, then began to feed off of the teachings of mega TV preachers and was guided to a mega church by a vision that was demonically inspired.

As it stands, I work with those that I can, and I plant a seed into those that I cannot help, and pray that the Lord will direct them to true, informed Christians who will nurture and water that seed. For those who refuse to hear, I let them fire me and I shake the dust from my feet and move on to the next captive.

The Religious Spirit is a Demon! by Minister Francine

Religious demon is not a new fangled term. Well known Christian authors like Derek Prince and Rick Joyner have used this term initially. But Pam Sheppard has taken their teachings to a higher more advanced level. She has done extensive research, and exposes exactly who, and what a religious demon is. In her ground breaking book, ” Faces of the Religious Demon” she ushers us into a full-scale description of the scope and function of religious demons in the organized church.

Unfortunately, the church as a whole, shuns the fact that demons exist and operate today. This is grave error! In fact, as Pam relates, religious demons have entered into the church. Well meaning deliverance ministers, are limited in knowledge. At best they may be able to cast out demons, but are too often unskilled at accomplishing total deliverance for captives. Demons often return to victims with a vengeance. The word of God refers to this, for we know that when a house is swept clean, demons can, and will find another door of entry.

Pam Sheppard writes:
The first time I personally heard the term ” religious spirit ” or ” religious demon ” was in a prophecy I received in 1983. In this word, I was given a spiritual warfare assignment against 7 high-ranking fallen angels that I began to refer to as ” The Seven Walls”, with the religious devil  as wall number 5 in the list: alcohol and drugs, homosexuality, prostitution, witchcraft, the religious spirit, prejudice and poverty. To walk in darkness is to give the religious demon an unholy advantage where he will enter into both spiritual and man made temples, and through a blasphemous masquerade, attempt to exalt himself above God. When the demon is able to enter into a Christian temple of either flesh or brick and subsequently obtain worship for itself through fraudulence and deceit, this is truly an abomination of desolation (Daniel 11:36).
My dear readers you ought to get a copy of Pam’s book. I can attest to what Pam is describing. Why? Because I have read the whole book , and can now understand much of what she expounds on regarding the religious demon. A religious demon will display some of the following traits:
A. Unknown tongues with no translation
B. Religiosity and odd extremes
C. Slain in the spirit which is unscriptural
D. Divination under the guise of prophecy
E. Repetiton of the abominable sinners prayers. i.e ” I accept Jesus ” or ” Jesus come into my heart “
As you can see, a religious demon is an abominable desolation indeed, and displays a carnal, fleshly worship that has nothing to do with God or Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

3 Myths About the Marriage Bed that will Invite Demons into Your Bedroom..

The marriage bed is undefiled according to the word of God. Unfortunately too many pastors, leaders and church members believe God has given couples a license to practice sodomy, oral sex, anal sex, and other perverse sexual practices. Sinful sex practices will absolutely invite demons into your bedroom The fact that the marriage bed is undefiled simply means that sex is for married couples. If sex is performed outside of the marriage bed, fornication is the sin committed and that bed is defiled. Pam Sheppard got the idea for this article from a recent discussion with her ministers. In order to clarify points presented, I’ll proceed and clear up three myths about the Christian marriage bed.

Myth #1: Oral sex is harmless, and the Christian marriage bed is undefiled if both parties consent.

Fact: Oral sex IS harmful and it is sin. God did not create the mouth for this purpose. Even scientist report that 64% of cancers of the oral cavity, head and neck in the US are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) which is spread by oral sex. Oral sex is a major health risk. Oral sex spreads STDs such as hepatitis A and syphilis. Why would God give his children a license to practice risky and life threatening sex acts?

Myth #2: Anal sex is acceptable for the Christian marriage bed as long as couples use good hygiene.

Fact: Anal sex is NOT acceptable for the Christian marriage bed. Anal sex can cause bleeding and tears in the anus. A rare but serious disease can cause a holes in the colon which only surgery can help. Anal sex is considered risky and harmful behavior by The Center for Disease Control. Anal sex spreads HIV infection. Remember tiny cuts sores and open wounds are a hotbed for disease. Why would God give his children license to practice anal sex? God did not create the anus for this purpose. Should I even mention the spread of feces?

Myth #3: All kinds of sex is lawful for the marriage bed. Couples can do anything no holds barred.

Fact: This is a lie from the pits of hell.  Perverse sexual acts other than penis into vagina are unlawful. Even the unGodly know that perverse sexual acts can cause life threatening diseases.

Pam Sheppard, an expert in deliverance counseling, seasoned pastor of her own church now closed, and God’s end-time shepherd, explained all of the above to me. It’s a shame that countless Christian leaders are teaching that ANYTHING goes in the Christian marriage bed. As Pam explained, this is a twisted understanding of Hebrews 13:14. I would like you to please  read Pam’s comments below about a woman who was tormented by sexual demons. She exposes why sexual demons can enter your bedroom, and just plain afflict you and torment you continuously.

PAM SHEPPARD:…….. A woman is tormented by demons of a sexual nature but has been counseled by her pastor that the marriage bed is undefiled. So she and her husband are doing oral sex, anal and even more perverse sexual acts. There are many problems with this. The first one is that she is going to church. The second is her husband. The third is her misunderstanding of the doctrine that ” the marriage bed is undefiled ” and exactly what that means. Her husband is not interested in sex unless it is perverted. This is a marriage counseling issue. Unless these issues are dealt with, there’s no point in casting out demons

So dear reader, what have you gleaned so far? What did the Lord mean when he said the marriage bed was undefiled? The answer is in the first paragraph and most definitely in Pam’s closing statements.

CASTING OUT DEMONS: DEPROGRAMMING
There are people with religious demons who are tormented either with hearing voices, fears of having committed the unpardonable sin 0r of going to hell  as well constantly are bombarded by blasphemous thoughts. Some can’t even read their bibles out loud or silently. I recall a case where a captive could only read a pocket bible for fear that a demon would use her arm to pound her in the head with a hardcover, and possibly sustain  a concussion. So it is easy to embrace  a quick-fix  simply to relieve or stop the torment. Most workers  simply attempt to cast out demons  as a means to remove ALL  of a person’s bondages.It never really works. I have found that setting captives free who have a spirit of religiosity  in any form,  involves more than simply casting  out the demons.
 
First of all, there are usually various strongholds to be torn down. Since strongholds are incorrect thinking patterns, this is done through the renewing of the captive’s  mind according to the Word of God. As the Lord said “you can’t put new wine into old wineskins or it will break. You can’t put a new patch of cloth on an old garment or it will tear, and you certainly cannot serve 2 masters, or you will hate the deliverance worker and love the preachers and teachers who are a significant yet hidden cause of your captivity.
The purpose of deliverance is to gain freedom from any hindrances in your life that would keep you from walking in the fullness of God’s plan for your life and your relationship with Him. Remarkably to some, it is often habitual religiosity that is the most difficult stronghold to overcome, even stronger than an addiction to alcohol or drugs because religion and “going to church” is culturally engrained and is therefore considered “the right thing to do.” It takes much time and patience to free captives from religion or a deceptive form of spirituality—a form of godliness that denies the power thereof.

I will not cast out demons  from  a “religious captive” who continues to go to church, feed from the tables of either deceived or false prophets, and who is praying to a fake god. Therefore I mandate that while involved in deliverance counseling or mentoring with Sheppard’s Counseling Center, the captive must cease and desist from all religious activity including reading the bible and praying. Old things must pass away so that all things can become new.

CASTING OUT DEMONS: Blessed Are the Meek

Meekness is the open doorway to deliverance from demons.

  God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.  Remember the woman with the daughter vexed with a demon who cried out loud to Jesus?  He called her a dog.  A female dog is in our present day language is “the B word.” She replied with a humble response by saying “even the dogs eat the crumbs from under the master’s table.” Implicit in her response was her faith that Jesus Christ “is the Master,” and that deliverance is for EVERYONE.

So the person seeking deliverance from demons must be meek or he or she  will  be “humbled”by the demonic torment and oppression  put upon them.

Some people who have demons really don’t want the Lord.

“They simply want to be free of the torment. So if demons are cast out, nothing in them will be changed.  There is such a thing as “fake fruit.”  I am sure that you have at one time been fooled by plastic or rubber fruit sitting in a bowl as the center piece on a dining room table.  Sometimes These plastic replicas look even better than the real thing from a distance. However, up close, you can see that there is no life in fake fruit.  This is also true of fake spiritual fruit.  Take for example the fruit of meekness or humility.  Those who are “fake”, may appear to have a lack of self-confidence.  However, at the root of their apparent meekness may be  compulsive modesty.  In such instances, the captive’s pattern is to overlook his  own viewpoint,suggesting that the thoughts and ways of others are more reliable than his own.

False humility of this kind will lead the captive to not feel safe unless a significant other in his life will protect, defend, advise or nurture him.  In such cases, the captive loses the capability to take responsibility for his own life. False meekness also manifests itself when professing  Christians who have low self concept develop techniques and processes whereby the self is placed in the background by losing self-regard. In an attempt to avoid anger at all cost, the captive will repress hostility and will become self-effacing. Some captives will merely adjust their behavior to adapt to the stronger personality, while others will allow their personalities to be changed by stronger people.  People like this are often wrongfully perceived as having the fruit of meekness.

Each stronghold will create a specific fear or doubt as well as an accompanying pride system that will be difficult to break through.  Christians so bound, will often attribute their strongholds to demons, when in actuality, casting out a demon will not bring any lasting relief.  This is because the stronghold is embedded in the captive’s personality and is therefore a stronghold in the soul.  In cases where there has been little to no personality change, it will seem as though deliverance has failed when in reality, the root of the problem was not so much demonic as it was “soulical.”Casting out demons may bring a momentary sense of freedom or joy.  Even so, a substantial, solid deliverance is one where the fruit of  true meekness has been planted and nurtured.

Since meekness is the doorway to blessing, any captive in need of deliverance must become poor in spirit. (Matthew 5) To be poor in spirit is to be emptied of one’s character defects.  Deliverance will empty the captive from demons, but these demons and others will ultimately return if the conditions that provided them a safe haven still remain.  Therefore, my job as a bearer of the word of God is to seek the help of the Holy Spirit to sensitize a conscience that has been hardened by the pride of life.    Meekness is manifested when the captive comes to the realization that his thoughts are not as high as the Lord’s thoughts, nor his ways higher than the Lord’s ways. I do not cast out demons from people whom God has not humbled. I can recognize them.  They wander from one deliverance worker to another.  When they get to ME, they want to instruct me as to what THEY believe their problems are, what demons they have, how the demons should be cast out, etc. etc. etc.  I say “Good bye!”

Continual brokenness before the Lord Jesus Christ will  sustained you with a simple, yet a profound truth and it is this. “Whatever does not originate in your inward parts—in your spirit—will not bring you life.” In this regard, I have learned through personal experience that false or counterfeit spirituality may appear to produce a beneficial result but it cannot grant authentic, lasting,  resurrection life. I have entered into the Lord’s rest because I myself have labored by the revelation of the Holy Ghost. No more vain strivings for success according to man’s standards.  If I speak no more for the remainder of my life, I will remain satisfied.
